Another minor subject exam was conducted today, December 06, 2021, for the CBSE Class 10 students. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Elements of Business exam from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Candidates had a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes or 90 minutes to attempt and solve the entire paper. The exam covered a total of 35 questions, which varied in terms of the difficulty level i.e., some questions were difficult while others remained easy and moderate.
Now that the paper is done and dusted with, students are waiting for the answer key to come out. While the CBSE will take time to release the Class 10 Elements of Business answer key, students can refer to unofficial answer keys available online. They will be available in two forms – 1. PDF format online and 2. Video solutions with short solutions. Students can take a look at the latter to not only get answers but also exam analysis.
CBSE Class 10 Elements of Business Analysis
This year, in accordance with the new paper pattern, students were already aware of the syllabus and their weightage. As expected, the paper covered two units – Unit I: Fundamentals of Business Activities and Unit 2: Operative Activities in Business. While the first unit was allotted a weightage of 20 marks, the second unit covers questions worth 15 marks.

Unit I: Fundamentals of Business Activities

# Business as an Activity – How it is different from (i) Profession (ii) Employment
# Characteristics of vocational activities
# Factors affecting business (i) Economic (ii) Social (iii) Political
In the case of Unit 2: Operative Activities in Business, the following are the chapters covered –
# Industry – concept
# Commerce – concept
# Industry – Characteristics, Types and Nature
# Commerce (i) Banking (ii) Insurance (iii) Transportation (iv) Trade
Now that the CBSE Class 10 2021-22 exam, students can wait for the unofficial answer keys to release online. By referring them, students can calculate their tentative exam score while waiting for the official answer key to be published online by CBSE. The official draft will be released on the website cbse.nic.in. For convenience, students can download or print a copy of the answer key to determine the actual score. However, the official answer key will take some time to release. Students are advised to visit the official website frequently for any updates in this regard.
