CBSE or the Central Board of Secondary Education has today, May 10, 2022, successfully conducted the CBSE Class 10 Semester 2 examination for the Science subject. The paper was held for a duration of 2 hours or 120 minutes, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The exam was organised at selected schools across the country. Semester 1 exam organised in December 2022 was entirely objective in nature. However, the Semester 2 Science exam comprised both MCQs and subjective questions.

CBSE is expected to release the official answer key for today’s semester 2 exam soon. Although, an official date has not been specified. The official answer key will release in the PDF format, on the official website cbse.nic.in.

While determining the tentative CBSE Class 10 Science 2022 exam score, students need to divide their questions into two categories – objective and subjective. They must first calculate the marks obtained in objective questions. These are mostly in the MCQ format and hence, have straightforward answers.

CBSE Class 10 Science Syllabus Covered
As per the term-wise Class 10 syllabus specified by CBSE, today’s Science exam only comprised of 50% of the reduced portion. Accordingly, the paper contained questions on Carbon and its Compounds, Periodic Classification of Elements, Reproduction in Organisms, Heredity and Evolution, Electricity, Magnetism and Environment. The paper was held for a maximum of 40 marks while the remaining 10 marks were allotted for practical exam.
CBSE Semester 2 Schedule 2022
The CBSE Class 10 semester 2 exams began on Monday, April 26, 2022, with a crucial subject being held today. According to the official schedule for CBSE Term 2 published on cbse.nic.in, board exams for Class 10 students shall continue till Monday, May 24, 2022, with the last paper being Information Technology. The next paper is scheduled on Friday, May 13, 2022, for the Elementary of Business subject. All exams are going to be conducted in the same format and duration.
