CBSE Class 10 Mathematics (Basic) Sample Paper 2021 with Marking Scheme

CBSE has released Class 10th Maths (Basic) sample papers 201 with marking scheme online at cbse.nic.in. It has been released as per the 30% syllabus reduction for 2021 board exams.

CBSE Class 10 Mathematics (Basic) Sample Paper 2021 has been released in pdf according to the reduced syllabus. It can be downloaded by the students from the board’s official website – cbseacademic.nic.in or cbse.nic.in. Students appearing for the upcoming board exams must go through the sample paper once to know the format of the CBSE 10th board 2021 question paper. Along with the sample paper, CBSE has also released answer hints and the marking scheme for the same. It is again important to go through the marking scheme once to understand the step-wise marking scheme. Additionally, the answer hints as released by the board also gives an idea about how to include important concepts/points in the answers to obtain maximum marks. Some sources suggest that CBSE Class 10 Basic Maths sample paper is for those students who do not wish to pursue Maths in standard 11 and 12. Generally, those students who want to pursue a Science stream or would like to take Mathematics as a core subject in classes 11 and 12. CBSE Class 10 Mathematics (Basic) Sample Paper 2021 Marking Scheme

CBSE Class 10 Maths marking scheme 2021 is important as it will help the students to analyze answers and suggested steps of solutions for all questions given in the sample paper. Additionally, students also get to know about the allotment of marks across different answers as per which students should answer at the time of board examination. The question paper is divided into two parts – A and B. Check CBSE 10th Mathematics Basic marking scheme 2021 from below:

Part A: There two sections in Part A – Section I and Section II:

Section I – It has a total of 16 questions with Internal choice in 5 questions.

Section II – There are four case study-based questions and each case study has 5 case-based sub-parts. An examinee will have to attempt any 4 out of 5 sub-parts.

Part – B – One key point to note is that Internal choice is provided in 2 questions of 2 marks, 2 questions of 3 marks and 1 question of 5 marks.

From question no 21 to 26, students have to solve Very Short Answer Type questions of 2 mark each.

From question no 27 to 33 are Short Answer Type questions of 3 marks each.

From question no 34 to 36 are Long Answer Type questions of 5 marks each.

CBSE Class 10 Mathematics (Basic) Syllabus 2021

CBS revised syllabus for Class 10 Mathematics (Basic) can be downloaded from the link provided below. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) decided to reduce the examination syllabus for the academic session 2020-2021 to compensate for the loss of studies due to the COVID-19 lockdown. It can also be download online from the board’s official website, cbse.nic.in. To prepare for the exam, it is important that students should prepare for it as per the reduced and revised syllabus. The contents covered in CBSE Class 10 Mathematics (Basic) syllabus 2020-2021 are as follows – unit-wise weightage, Topics & sub-topics from each unit, question paper design, etc.

Syllabus for CBSE Class 10 Mathematics (Basic) Reduced & Revised is as follows –

Unit I -Number systems of 06 marks

Unit II – Algebra of 20 marks

Unit III – Coordinate Geometry of 06 marks

Unit IV – Geometry of 15 marks

Unit V – Trigonometry of 12 marks

Unit VI – Mensuration of 10 marks

Unit VII – Statistics of 11 marks
