The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reopened the registration window for class 10th and 12th students. According to the notification released, the schools have been given an additional week to fill the LOC for the students who could not get registered before. The board will also open the LOC correction window from February 15, 2021, onwards., in case if the corrections are needed for the List of Candidates (LOC) appearing in the upcoming CBSE board exams 2021.

The old CBSE affiliated schools have been allowed to fill LOC for the left out students from February 8 to 13, 2201. Furthermore, correction in registration data / LOC of the already filled students can be done from February 15 to 20, 2021. The decision to reopen the registration process came after the board received various requests from schools in addition to the already submitted LOC and the last-minute corrections in LOC.

As per some media reports, CBSE shall also take into account the challenges faced by the schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown issued.

Along with this, CBSE has also allowed the schools to register the students in classes 9 and 11 without late fees. However, this will be open only for schools that have been newly affiliated with the CBSE board. Old schools can also register their left out students, however, they will now need to pay a late fee amount as applicable. The window for additional registration for classes 9 and 11 will be open from February 13, 2021.

CBSE has asked the schools to ensure that all the students are registered within the extended window and has warned that no more provision for extension in registration or LOC correction will be provided. Hence, students must be registered within the given time.

It is reported that CBSE admit card 2021 for class 10 and 12 board examinations shall be available for download only after the LOC correction is completed. It is released for download online at cbse.gov.in for Private candidates, whereas, regular candidates need to obtain their admit card from their respective schools.

CBSE has earlier released the exam date sheet 2021 for class 10th and 12th. CBSE 10th exam 2021 is scheduled to be held from May 4 to June 07, 2021, whereas, class 12th examination is going to be held from May 4 to June 1, 2021. As per some reports, schools affiliated with CBSE are awaiting directions from the board for the practical examinations which are scheduled to start from March 1 onwards. As of now, the board has not released any notification regarding the conduct of the practical exams and the schools are expecting to receive clarity on the same after the correction window for LOC ends.
