Central Board of Secondary Education has scheduled the CBSE Term 1 Home Science examination for tomorrow, December 3, 2021. Candidates can check out the CBSE Home Science Term 1 syllabus, sample paper, and marking scheme released on the official website earlier.
CBSE Home Science syllabus for Term 1 shall make the candidates aware of the topics relevant to the examination. While the sample paper released by the board for the Term 1 Home Science paper will provide the correct insight into the revised exam structure and type of questions asked in the examination.
CBSE Term 1 Home Science Syllabus
Amidst the ongoing uncertainty, the board has decided to divide the CBSE class 10 syllabus into two Terms, namely Term 1 and 2. Bifurcating the syllabus into two parts is going to reduce the burden on the candidates. Term 1 Home Science paper is going to be held for 35 marks and questions from the following topics shall be asked in the examination:
Unit 1: Human Growth and Development – 13 marks
Unit 2: Management of Resources- 14 marks
Unit 3: Food and Personal Hygiene – 8 marks

CBSE Term 1 Home Science Sample Paper
Along with the syllabus, the board has also released a sample paper for the CBSE class 10 Home Science Term 1 examination. The sample paper comprises the questions framed as per the new rules. As per the revised paper structure, the paper shall be having three sections, A, B, and C.
- Section A is going to have 22 questions out of which only 18 are compulsory
- Similarly, sections B will have 21 questions out of which only 17 is compulsory
- Section C is going to have 12 questions out of which 10 questions are compulsory

Candidates can also expect the questions to be of Fill up the blanks, one-word substitution, the question with more than one answer, passage-based, and questions based on assertions and reasons. Solving the sample paper is also a good idea as it helps in getting a clear understanding of the paper beforehand and filling the candidate with confidence.
