Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIMK) is going to release the CAT 2019 Admit Card online at iimcat.ac.in. The IIM has notified that the candidates will be able to download their admit card on October 23, 2019 at around 5:00 PM. Common Admission Test (CAT)-2019 is scheduled to be held on November 24, 2019.
Last year, admit card for CAT exam was issued as per the schedule, hence, it is expected that there shall be no delay in the release of the admit card. It was released at around 01:00 PM. Also, in the past few years it has been observed that the admit card has been released at around 1:00 PM only. Hence, it can be expected that the downloading of CAT 2019 Admit Card shall start between 01:00- 05:00 PM.

To download the admit card, candidates require their user id and password. Visit the official website and on the homepage click on the “Login” button. Next, enter your login details and submit it. Lastly, download the admit card and take a print out of it to carry it on the day of the test.
CAT 2019 exam is going to be conducted in two shifts at across 156 test cities spread across country. Shift 1 is from 09:00 AM to 12:00 noon and Shift 2 is from 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM. On the day of the test, candidates need to carry a valid id proof and a hard copy of the Admit card. It is important that candidates should take a colour print out of the admit card on an A4 size sheet. The images and details on the admit card should be clearly visible. Also, after downloading the CAT Admit Card, candidates need to paste their passport size photo, preferably the same as uploaded in the application form.
The test is of of 03 hours duration and there shall be a sectional limit of 60 minutes for completing a section. There are two type of queestion in the test- MCQ and TITA (type in the answer) type questions. The marking scheme is different for both. There are 100 questions in test which is divided into three (03) sections namely, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. (VARC); Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR); Quantitative Ability (QA).
IIMs does not disclose the distribution of question, however, there has not been much changed in terms of the pattern of the exam. There shall be 34 number of questions in VARC, 32 in DILR and 34 in QA.
The score for CAT exam is used by 20 IIMs for shortlisting candidates for admission in PGP, FPM programmes. However, each IIM has its own selection criteria.
