Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are all set to conduct the IIM CAT 2021 examination on November 27, 2021. The MBA entrance test will be held on a nationwide level, through the computer-based format. Admit cards for the same have already been released on the official website iimcat.ac.in. Candidates who successfully registered for the exam can download their admit cards by logging in to the official website. To do so, they will have to enter their login credentials such as User ID and Password.
Although the IIM CAT 2021 admit cards have already been released, some students are still concerned about two things – 1. Can candidates still change their exam centre? – and, 2. If yes, how to change the exam centre? The reason behind this is that the exam hall ticket mentions the test city and centre. Moreover, on downloading their hall tickets, candidates realised that their test centre is miles away from their residential city. Since then, they have been venturing into the feasibility of changing their exam centres.
For any entrance exam including IIM CAT 2021, authorities rarely ever accept changes in their personal details, exam centre or city, etc. In fact, no questions or rectifications will be entertained after the release of admit cards. Hence, even if candidates contact authorities on their helpline number, the chances of changing the exam centre are bleak. However, if the demand for centre change increases, IIMs may consider providing a separate exam centre change facility.
However, a change in the exam centre invariably implies that IIMs will have to release revised CAT 2021 admit cards. The entrance exam is all set to be conducted within 26 days. So, on such short notice, candidates will not be given the option of changing their exam centre.
Still, candidates can venture into a tiny possibility by logging in to the official website and accessing the helpdesk details and sending a message requesting a change in the exam centre. This message should also contain the already-assigned test centre details and how far it is from the candidate’s home. This will add more depth and importance to the message.
After sending the message, candidates must continue their preparation while waiting for a response from the authorities. Additionally, they must also look for the fastest or most convenient way of reaching the exam centre on time. In case any living arrangements need to be made, now’s the time plan and book them. This step is crucial because there is a high possibility that the candidate’s request will be denied.
