Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has announced the date and time for release of CAT 2021 answer key, as well as response sheet. As per the latest notice at iimcat.ac.in, the objection management system will be available from tomorrow, December 8, 2021, 10 am. It will remain available until December 11, 2021, 5 pm. Thus, candidates will get three days to view and download their question paper, answer key, and response sheet, and also submit objection against them if any.
The notice under announcement sections of iimcat.ac.in says:
The Candidate Response tab and Objection Management tab for CAT 2021 will be active from 10.00 AM on December 8 till 5:00 PM on December 11. Candidates will be able to see the Answer Key as well as their Individual Responses to Questions during this duration.
Authorities will activate the objection tab on the official website iimcat.ac.in tomorrow, at the given time. Candidates will be able to view their question paper, see the answer they had marked (response), as well as the correct answer of that question. In addition, they will be able to raise objections against the provisional answer key, in case they find any issues with it.
The IIM CAT 2021 entrance exam was successfully conducted across the country on November 28, 2021. Candidates had to solve the paper and mark their responses in the computer-based format.
It is expected that the answer key as well response sheet of candidates will be made available under the CAT 2021 candidate login. Candidates will have to login by entering the required credentials i.e., registration number, password or date of birth. Upon logging in, they will get either a single tab called candidate response, or separate tabs by the name of candidate response, and objection management. Using the first, candidates will be able to view the question paper, their individual response to each question and the correct answer. All three will be present in the PDF document.
Objection Management: It is a facility that candidates can use to raise objections against the answer key. In case a candidate feels that the key is suggesting the wrong answer, the same can be reported using the objection facility. More details and instructions regarding the same will be provided in the PDF document. Hence, all candidates are instructed to go through the document carefully before checking the answer key.
An important thing to bear in mind that both tabs will remain available only up to October 11, 2021, up to 5:00 pm. Thereafter, IIMs will take into account all objections which they receive and incorporate the valid ones into the answer key. A final answer key will be curated by making the necessary changes in the provisional draft. CAT 2021 score will also be calculated based on the final answer key and subsequently, results will be announced in due course of time.
With those 3 days allotted for the response tab, candidates are advised to check their responses and calculate their tentative score. By doing so, they shall get a clear idea about where they stand and whether or not to give the exam again.
