The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has declared the results for the class 10 matric board exams. Students can check the results from the official websites biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, biharboardonline.com and onlinebseb.in. Nearly 17 lakh students had registered for the board exams. The results were declared after a long wait since the evaluation process got over on March 27, 2022.
Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary announced the results in a press conference at 3 PM. As many as 8 students secured the top positions in the exam. These students secure the first five ranks. Moreover, 39 students have been placed between 6 to 10 ranks. According to a Hindustan Times report, the top rankers are:
1. Ramayani Roy
2. Saniya Kumari, Vivek Kumar Thakur
3. Pragya Kumari
4. Nirjala Kumari
5. Anurag Kumar, Susen Kumar, Nikhil Kumar
Meet the toppers
The first rank holder Ramayani Roy secured a total of 487 marks. The schools and marks secured by the first five rank holders are given in the table below.

Like previous years, this year too, the toppers are going to be awarded cash prizes up to Rs 01 lakh, a laptop and a kindle e-book reader. It is being reported that the first rank holder will be given a cash prize of Rs 01 lakh while the second rank holder will get Rs 75,000 as a cash prize. Lastly, the third rank holder is going to get Rs 50,000 and the toppers from ranks 4 to 10 will get Rs 10,000 as a cash prize
The Numbers
A total of 6,78,110 boys and 6, 08, 861 girls have passed the exam. The number of male students has remained higher this year. Similarly, the division-wise numbers have been given below.
- First division – 4,24,597
- Second division – 5,10,411
- Third division – 3,47,637
A total of 12,86,971 students have passed the examination, thereby keeping the pass percentage at 79.88%. The results can also be checked from the DigiLocker app. After checking the results, students must carefully crosscheck the personal details and the marks scored in each subject.
