Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has revised the BSE Odisha exam dates for Open school SOSCE and Madhyama exams for this year. Reports suggest that this revision is due to the ongoing heatwave prevalent in the state. As per updates, the board has decided to cancel the examination of the afternoon shift and shifted it to the morning shift. The announcement regarding the change in the exam timing was done by BSE president Ramashis Hazra.
BSE Odisha Revised Exam Dates
As per the announcement, the SOSCE and Madhyama exam dates that were earlier scheduled to commence on May 02 and 04, 2022 shall now be held on May 09 and 10, 2022 respectively. The timings of the exam have also been changed and now, the exam shall begin at 8 am rather than at 11.30 am. The board has not changed the exam dates and timings for the class 12 examination as of now. Reason for Exam Date Revision by BSE Odisha
As per a report by PTI, the temperature of Bhubaneshwar was 43.3 degrees celsius. Experts suggest that the temperature is going to rise again at least by 1 to 3 degrees in the upcoming days. This increased temperature has put a halt to the regular activities of the state. Citing this, the Odisha government has also closed down all the schools and colleges in the state.
This year at least 5.85 lakhs students shall be going to appear in the BSE board exams. For taking up the exams, the board has established at least 3, 303 exam centres all over the state. Along with this, at least 35, 000 teachers have been assigned to supervise the exams this year. The board has also appointed 38 special squads and 65 flying squads.
