BPSC Recruiting for 86 Vacancies; Professor & Lecturers Required, Apply now!

Candidates with PhD/ Masters/ Bachelors degree are invited to submit online applications for BPSC Professor & Lecturer Recruitment before October 05, 2020.

Bihar Public Service Commission is hiring eligible candidates for the post of Lecturer and Professor. As per the notification, 28 vacancies are out for Lecturer Humanity (English), 40 vacancies for Professor Civil Engineering and 18 vacancies for Professor Electronics and Communications. Online registrations for the said posts have already started from September 04, 2020. Applicants interested in the recruitment are encouraged to apply for the said posts before October 05, 2020. BPSC has released Advt No. 45/2020 for Lecturer Humanity (English), Advt No. 46/2020 for Professor Civil Engineering and Advt No. 47/2020 for Professor Electronics and Communication. Candidates who qualify for the post are recruited in Govt. Polytechnic/ Govt. Women Polytechnic Institutes and Govt. Engineering Colleges. The starting salary for Lecturer post is Rs. 56,100/-, Professor in Civil Engineering gets Rs. 1,44,200/- and Professor Electronic and Communications receives Rs. 1,44,200/- per month.

Eligibility criteria for the aforementioned posts are discussed in the notification by BPSC. Candidates have to ensure that they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria to be considered for recruitment. To apply for Lecturer post, candidates must have a Masters degree in humanities (English) subject with first class or equivalent at Bachelors or Master’s level. Candidates intending to apply for Professor in Civil Engineering PhD degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of work experience is mandatory. Apart from this, they should also have published 06 research at the level of Associate professor. Candidates who are applying for Professor in Electronics and Engineering must have PhD degree in Electronics and Communications engineering with at least 10 years of work experience and 06 research publications.

Online registrations and applications procedure is conducted via bpsc.bih.nic.in. The last day to register online is September 21, 2020. Candidates also have to pay Rs. 750/- as the Lecturer application fee and Rs. 100/- for Professor application fee. On successful submission of the application form, candidates have to take a clear print out of the application and submit it with relevant documents to “Joint Secretary Exam Controller, Bihar Public Service Commission, 15, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg (Beli Road), Patna 800001”. The hard copy of applications and documents should reach the office before the last date, October 12, 2020,

To shortlist candidates, BPSC first scrutinizes the application form and academic qualifications for the candidate. Thereafter, candidates who have applied for Lecturer post have to take a written examination for 40 marks. Those who are able to secure the minimum qualifying marks in the written exam are called for interview round (15 marks). Additional marks are provided to candidates who were engaged in the Lecturer post. Those who have applied for Professor post have to appear for the evaluation round where their academic performance, research publications are scrutinized. Qualifying candidates are then invited for the interview.
