Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) has published advertisement no. 03/2019, to notify 98 vacancies of Constable Driver in Bihar Police, or more specifically, the BHG batallion. Now popularly known as the Bihar police driver vacancy 2019, its online application form is also available.
Last date to apply online at csbc.bih.nic.in is November 20, 2019. And the most important thing is that this vacancy is open for class 12th pass government job aspirants.
Interested male and female candidates can download the notification and fill the application form by going to csbc.bih.nic.in and clicking the bihar home guards tab. There they will find the notification pdf and link to apply online.
The application fee to submit the form for general, BC, EWS candidates is Rs 450, whereas candidates belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe have to pay a sum of Rs 112 to the selection board. Applicants can pay the applicable fee via online mode only using net banking, credit cards and debit cards of any bank.
Candidates applying for the post should lie in the age bracket of 20 to 25 years of age. The cut off date to calculate age is August 01, 2019. Upper age limit is 27 for BC, EBC males. It is 28 years for BC, EBC females. SC, ST males and females upper age limit is 30.
To secure a job in the advertised recruitment of constable driver in Bihar Police, candidates have to undergo a 3 stage selection procedure. The stages in selection procedure comprises of first a written test, second a physical efficiency test and last a driving skill test. The written test will have 100 questions of 1 mark each, making the paper of 100 marks. All will be objective questions, to be attempted in 2 hrs.
To get qualified for the next round of selection procedure the exam takers need to get at least 30% of marks in the written test as the mandatory qualifying marks to clear. Then a cut off will be implemented in order to qualify candidates equal to five times the number of vacancy, for PET.
Marks in the written test is not used for the preparation of the merit list instead serves as the basis for the qualification for the next round. This will be followed by physical efficiency test, result of which can be objected by the candidates if they have any disagreement within 3 days from the day of the test. Their objection shall get settled by the board on the day of the receipt of the objection itself.
The last stage of the selection procedure is driving skill test where candidates are judged on the basis of their driving potential by making them drive on a pre-structured driving track. There will be five parts in the test – jeep, car, bus/truck, traffic rules and signals, taking care of parts of a car. The total marks allotted for this round is 100 marks. The preparation of the merit list is done on the basis of the marks in the motor vehicle driving efficiency test. The tie breaking criteria adopted for the candidates having same marks are their date of birth and then their education qualification. Higher education qualified students get a higher position in the merit list.
