Arunachal Pradesh PSC Recruitment 2020: Apply Now for 32 Section Officer Group B Posts

Candidates who possess Bachelor's degree along with 06 years of service as Assistant Section Officer are eligible for the post

Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the notification to recruit candidates for Section Officer posts. The conducting body has announced 32 vacant posts out of which 25 are reserved for APST candidates and 07 are unreserved. Candidates who are shortlisted for the said post are offered basic pay of Rs.47,600 in Level 8 of the pay matrix. The detailed notification with Advt No. PSC-R(B)10/2020 can be downloaded from the official website, appsc.gov.in. The online applications are accepted when submitted before the closing date, July 31, 2020, till 04:00 PM.

Interested candidates have to visit the official website of APPSC to fill up the application form, appsc.gov.in. Candidates first have to register themselves through the ‘One Time Registration (OTR)’ portal. Those who have already registered themselves through OTR portal are not required to register again. They can directly login and fill up the online APPSC Section Officer application form. Only one application is allowed to Section Officer post. However, if due to some unavoidable circumstances, candidates submit more than one application then the application with higher registration ID which is complete in all aspect is considered. For the successful submission of the application form, APST candidates have to pay a fee of Rs.100/- and General candidates have to pay Rs.150 as the application fee. The application fee can only be submitted through online mode.

Candidates have to upload scanned copies of the signature, photograph, APST certificate for APST candidates and PRC/Aadhar card for general candidates, appointment order of ASO in AP Civil Secretariat, 10th certificate, 12th certificate and graduate certificate. Candidates have to carry these documents/ certificates in original at the time of interview as well.

To apply for APPSC Section Officer, candidates have to ensure that they are fulfilling the eligibility criteria for the same. An Assistant Section Officer in Arunachal Pradesh Civil Secretariat who have served for 06 regular years are eligible to apply for the post. Other than this, they must have a graduate degree from a recognized university.

The selection process for APPSC Section Officer consists of two stages which are written examination and interview round. The written examination is conducted for 300 marks for 03 subjects. Questions are asked from General Knowledge, General English/Noting/Essay Writing/Drafting, and FRs/SRs/GFRs/Pension Rules/CCS (CCA) Rules/General PRiovident Fund Rules. Candidates have to secure minimum 33% marks in each section and 45% marks in aggregate to appear for the interview round. The written examination is followed by the viva-voce test which is conducted for 50 marks.
