Army Recruiting Office, Shimla is all set to conduct a recruitment rally at Paddal Ground, Mandi (HP) from October 06 to October 14, 2020. ARO Shimla is conducting the rally for recruitment of eligible candidates from the districts of Shimla, Kinnaur, Solan, and Sirmaur in Himachal Pradesh to the post of Soldier Technical. Eligible candidates are invited to register online to appear in the rally as per schedule. The online registration process at the Indian Army recruitment website i.e. joinindianarmy.nic.in is starting tomorrow i.e. August 07, 2020. The last date to register online is September 20, 2020. Eligible applicants will receive the admit cards for the rally through email from September 21 onwards.
As per the recruitment notification, various Soldier Technical posts are available to be filled up. The posts include Soldier Technical (Male), Soldier Technical (Ammunition Examiner) (AT) (Male), Soldier Technical (Aviation) (X Group) (Male), Soldier Technical (Nursing Assistant) (Male). Candidates of the minimum age of 17.5 years and a maximum of 23 years who have cleared their Class 12th exam are eligible to apply provided that they have secured 50% in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject. Candidates must be from the specified districts of Himachal Pradesh only. In addition, candidates must be compliant with the specified minimum physical standards. Candidates must be at least 163 cm tall weighing and least 48 kg. They must have a 77 cm chest measurement along with 5 cm of expansion capacity. Relaxations on the physical standards are however available for candidates belonging to special reserved categories. Candidates are advised to go through the recruitment notice carefully and ensure that they fulfil the eligibility conditions as per their category before applying.
Admit cards containing the reporting time and other details are to be issued to eligible candidates to appear in the rally. Candidates will be shortlisted through Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement and Medical Examination at the rally site. The PFTs consist of 1.6 km run, Beam Pull-ups, 9 Feet Ditch and Zig-Zag Balance. Candidates must qualify these PFT events and meet the specified physical standards as per their category. The Medical Test must be cleared and unfit candidates are referred to MH/CH/BH for specialist review. Those who are subsequently declared fit after specialist review must report back to the ARO. Qualifying candidates are issued the Admit Cards for the Common Entrance Exam (CCE) at the rally site.
Along with the admit card, candidates must also carry other specified documents to the rally site. These include 20 copies of recent, colored, and unattested passport-sized photographs, educational certificates, domicile certificate, caste/category certificate, character & school character certificate, affidavit (as per annexure), bank account, PAN & AADHAR card. It is mandatory for all candidates to apply at the specified website of the Indian Army. Mobile phones are not allowed inside the rally site or the exam centre. Candidates are also advised to bring sufficient eatables and drinking water and also ensure that they make arrangements for accommodation during the rally days.
