Army Recruiting Office, Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan) is inviting eligible candidates domiciled in specific districts of Rajasthan to register online for army recruitment rally. The rally is tentatively scheduled to be held during the period from October 07 to March 31, 2020. Exact date, location and venue of the rally is to be declared later. The mandatory online registrations can be done at the recruitment website of the Indian Army i.e. joinindianarmy.nic.in as per the specified dates. Online registration process is commencing on August 08, 2020. The last date to register online is September 22, 2020. Eligible applicants are to be issued admit cards to appear in the rally 15 days before the rally date.
As per the notification, the openings are for the posts of Soldier (General Duty), Soldier Technical and Soldier Tdn 10th Pass and Sol Tdn 8th Pass. Candidates wishing to apply must be domiciled in the districts of Churu, Sri Ganganagar and Haumangarh. The minimum age of the applicants must be 17.5 years while the maximum age is 23 years (21 years for the post of Soldier-GD). Candidates must have passed Class 10th with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% marks in each subject in order to apply for the post of Soldier GD. Those who have passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject can apply for the post of Soldier Technical. Simple 10th pass candidates with minimum 33% marks in each subject are eligible to apply for Sol Tdn 10th pass while simple 8th pass candidates who have scored 33% marks in each subject or more are eligible to apply for the post of Sol Tdn 8th pass.
The selection of the applicants is to be done initially through the physical fitness tests, physical standards measurement and medical test at the rally site. Candidates have to qualify in events such as 1.6 km running, Beam (Pull-ups), 9 Feet Ditch and Zig-Zag Balance in the PFTs. The physical standards are measured and candidates must qualify by having the prescribed minimum physical standards. Minimum height of 170 cm, the weight of 50 cm (48 cm for Sol Tdn posts) and a chest measurement of 77 cm (76 cm for Sol Tdn posts) along with 5 cm expansion is required. Candidates qualifying through the PFTs and physical measurement round are subjected to the medical test where they must be declared fit to receive the admit cards for the written exam. Those who are not declared fit and refer for specialist review must report back to the ARO within 14 days if declared fit by the specialists.
Online applications are mandatory for recruitment. Candidates must apply online and register at the Indian Army website first before the last date. Admit cards are issued to the eligible applicants and it must be carried to the rally site. The admit cards are issued through the registered email id. Alongside, 20 copies of recent passport-sized photographs (coloured & unattested) must also be carried along with other necessary documents. Candidates are advised to make arrangements for accommodation during the rally site and carry enough eatables and drinking water.
