Agharkar Research Institute, in its recent notification, has announced the recruitment for the post of Library and Information Officer. The detailed notification with Advt./RecP/01/2020 is available on the official website, aripune.org. ARI has announced 01 vacancies for the Library and Information Officer (LIO) recruitment. Candidates can submit the application form within 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement.
The recruitment for Library and Information Officer (LIO) is through deputation and direct recruitment process. Candidates who are shortlisted for this post are recruited under the pay scale of Rs.67700-208700. They have to serve a probation period of 01 years after the selection; probation period may get extended.
Candidates who are applying through deputation basis must be holding similar posts under the Central Govt./ State Govt./ PSU/Autonomous Bodies. The officer who have 05 years of work experience in regular service in pay matrix of Rs. 56100-177500 in the parent cadre are also eligible to apply through deputation basis. Those who intend to apply through direct recruitment method must possess a master’s degree/ Diploma in Library Science. Alongside, a minimum of 05 years of work experience in Supervisory capacity in Library of reputation is necessary. The upper age limit for candidates applying for deputation basis is 56 years and for direct recruitment is 40 years.
The application procedure for this recruitment is conducted through an offline process only. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility norms can download the ARI recruitment application form aripune.org. The filled-in form along with self-attested copies of the educational qualifications, certificate, passport size photograph should be submitted to The Director, Agharkar Research Institute, G.G. Agarkar Road, Pune – 411 004. The form and documents should be submitted in an envelope and should be superscribed with “Application for the post of Library & Information Officer”.
The applicants applying through Direct recruitment have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/-. SC/ST and women candidates of all categories are exempted from fee submission. The fee can be paid online through “Online SBI” SBI Collect or link available on the website. Candidates who are applying through deputation basis have to submit date copies of APARs/ ACRs for the last five years. These should be duly attested by a Group A Officer, Cadre Clearance Authority. They also have to submit the vigilance clearance and details of minor/ major penalty imposed on them.
All the eligible candidates have to appear for the interview round conducted by ARI, Pune. Based on the educational qualification, years of service, candidates are invited for the interview. More details about the interview will be updated later by the conducting body.
