Army Public School is recruiting PGT, TGT, and PRT teachers. For the same, registration / online form is available until September 21, 2019 at aps-csb.in. Applicable exam fees are Rs 500 for this recruitment. AWES HQ will conduct an online screening test on October 19 and 20, on the basis of which, score cards will be generated. Previous holders of the score cards can also appear for the test. So can teachers who wish to upgrade themselves – like those who previously appeared in TGT and now want to PGT and so on.
The various Army Public Schools will intimate respective vacancies from time to time. Candidates who appear in the online screening test in October, will then have to apply for the school wise vacancies and appear in interview, skill test and computer proficiency tests. APS are located in cantonments, military stations in India. They are managed by local Army authorities, and are affiliated to CBSE.
Screening test for Army Public School Teacher Recruitment 2019-2020 will have multiple choice questions. The test for PRT will have single section, part A, with 90 marks worth of questions on general awareness, mental ability, english comprehension, educational concepts and methodology. The test will be of 90 minutes.
PGT and TGT teacher test will have two parts A and B. Part A will have 90 marks questions on general awareness, mental ability, english comprehension, educational concepts and methodology. Part B will have 90 marks questions on subject. This test will be of 180 minutes. There will be negative marking of 1/4 for all teacher tests.
To qualify, one must score 50% in each part. However those who qualify part A but not part B in TGT/PGT test, can opt to get the scorecard for PRT.
Candidates applying for the post of PGT, must be a post-graduate, for TGT and PRT, it is essential to have a degree. In all the three posts, candidates need to have qualified B.Ed with 50% marks. Apart from that, there is also a criteria for age. A fresher, with less than 5 years of experience, should be below 40 years and the experienced aspirants must be below 57 years.
Candidates will have to register online by logging onto the registration portal, aps-csb.in and click on new user. A detailed instructions will be given regarding the recruitment. After reading thoroughly, click on the proceed button. Then, start filling up the required details on the application form. Next, the candidates will have to pay an exam fee of Rs 500 by debit / credit cards / net banking. After the payment of fee, the candidates will have to upload a scanned photograph and signature, proof of date of birth, and certificates of academic qualifications. Once the registration is completed, candidates will get a confirmation that it is successful.
Qualifiers will be given a score card which will stay valid if a candidate picks up a teaching job within 3 years from the date of passing the screening exam in any CBSE affiliated school for a continuous duration of atleast one year.
During the Interview round, the respective Army Public Schools of India will announce the exact number of vacancies available through local newspaper, school’s official website, notice board, etc. Candidates have to apply in response to these announcements. The interviews may or may not be held at the location of the school. It might be held as per the discretion of the local management.
In last stage, a written test comprising of essay and comprehension of 15 marks will be held along with the evaluation of teaching skills. The selection committee may also hold computer proficiency test if they desire to do so. It is to be noted that stage II and III will be held in tandem under the aegis of Board of Administration at HQ command / school management.
The results will be published by October 30, 2019 on APS portal. The results will be available on the website for 30 days after declaration of results along with the scorecards. The card will be valid for life provided that a candidate wishes to take up teaching position in any CBSE recognized school within 3 years of issuance of the score card.
