KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar has been ranked no. 1 in the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA), 2020. This ranking is drawn under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. The 2nd position in the ranking is taken by SRM Institute, Chennai and the 3rd rank holder is Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore
Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Vice President of India announced the ranking report for 2020. It was announced on August 18, 2020, in the presence of Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Hon’ble Minister of Education, Govt. of India; Shri Sanjay Shamrao Dhotre, Hon’ble Minister of State for Education; Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Hon’ble Chairman, AICTE; Shri Amit Khare, Secretary, Higher Education, and other dignitaries.
This ranking is based on indicators related to “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development” amongst students and faculties of the institutes across the nation. KIIT has achieved top place in these prestigious rankings due to its innovation and entrepreneurship centers, advanced laboratories, centers of excellence, collaborations with industries, and international institutions. Known for its student-friendly culture, KIIT lays high on involving students in research, development, and innovation activities.



KIIT was ranked at no. 2 in ARIIA ranking last year. However, this year the institute added another feather on its cap by grabbing the no.1 position. KIIT Deemed to be University is also recognised as an ‘Institution of Eminence’ by the Govt. of India.
