On the behalf of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the official notification for Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) 2020 is released recently. As per the official notification APSET 2020 exam is scheduled to be held on December 06, 2020. Candidates can get the notification in this regard from apset.net.in. The online registrations for the same starts from August 14, 2020, onwards. The window for online application form submission closes on September 19, 2020.
Candidates who have secured at least 55% in their Master’s degree are eligible to apply for APSET 2020. Those candidates who are in their final year of Master’s degree or their results are delayed for some reasons are also eligible for this exam. Aspirants who have PhD degree and have passed Master’s degree examination by September 19, 1991, are given an additional 5% relaxation in the aggregate marks. There is no upper age limit for APSET. Candidates who have earlier qualified the APSET/ UGC NET examination are not eligible to apply this time.
The online registrations for APSET 2020 exam start as per schedule at apset.net.in. Aspirants shall provide the basic details to get themselves registered and create a password. They have to provide their name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID for registration. Hereafter, candidates can proceed to submit their APSET application form 2020 by providing educational qualification details, choice of exam centres, communication details and other important details. Candidates can check the website to get all the information about the examination, registration and others.
Applicants have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 1200/- if they belong to the General and EWS category. Backward Class candidates have to make a payment of Rs. 1000/- and SC/ ST/ PWD/ Transgender categories have to pay Rs. 700/-.The APSET application fee can be paid through online payment gateways such as Credit cards/ Debit Cards/ Net Banking.
APSET examination is conducted to shortlist eligible candidates for Assistant Professors and Lecturer. Candidates who qualify APSET exam are eligible to apply for Assistant Professor and Lecturer posts in for Assistant Professors and Lecturers in Universities and Degree Colleges. The APSET examination is conducted as an online examination. There will be two papers – Paper 1 (Common) and Paper 2 (Specific Subjects). Candidates have to select subjects out of 30 subjects for Paper II are per their preference. Paper 1 is conducted for 100 marks for a duration of 01 hours. Paper-II is organised for 200 marks for 2 hours. Each question in APTSET examination carries 02 marks. However, no marks deducted in this examination for marking incorrect answers.
