Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is recruiting eligible candidates to fill up the vacant posts of Research Assistant. Candidates can download the official notification with Advt. No. 05/2020 from apsc.nic.in. APSC has announced 02 vacancies for Research Assistant Recruitment. Candidates who are interested in the aforementioned posts can apply before the last date which is September 08, 2020.
The recruitment to the Research Assistant Post is under the Border Protection and Development Department. Candidates who are found eligible are shortlisted for the said post under the pay scale of Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 97,000/- with grade pay of Rs. 9,400/-.
Only permanent residents of Assam are eligible to apply for Research Assistant post. They have to produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose as the residency proof. Candidates intending to apply for this post must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a government recognized universities. They must have basic knowledge of computers such as MS word and MS excel. A minimum of 03 years of work experience as a Junior Assistant in any office under the government of Assam is mandatory. Moreover, candidates age must have completed 21 years and not exceed that of 38 years as on January 01, 2020. The application form can be obtained from the APSC website, apsc.nic.in. Candidates have to take a print out of the same and submit the duly filled in application form to the Deputy Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-781022. The name of the post that candidates are applying for should be clearly marked on the envelope. Both, the application form and relevant document should reach the specified address on or before the last date.
The application fee for this recruitment varies from category to category. General and EWS category candidates are liable to Rs. 250/- as the application fee and SC/ST/ OBC/ MOBC candidates have to pay Rs. 150/-. However, Below Poverty Line candidates are exempted from the fee submission. They have to furnish their BPL certificate along with the application form to get exempted from fee submission. The fee should be submitted through treasury challan or online using the Government Receipt Accounting System-GRAS. Printed copy for the Treasury Chalan generated through GRAS should be submitted with the form.
Along with APSC Research Assistant application form candidates have to enclose original treasury challan, age proof certificate and mark sheets for all examinations from 12th standard, caste certificate, disability certificate, two copies of recent passport size photograph, signature experience certificate. Also, candidates have to furnish residence proof and documents supporting work experience.
