Alliance University’s School of Liberal Arts in association with Asia Pacific Writers & Translators Inc. (APWT) proudly presents the Asia Pacific Literary Festival 2022, a part festival, part conference and part showcase featuring an exciting line up of feature authors and publishing professionals from around the world, prominent event partners and tantalizing sidebar events. The literary festival will be held on November 28, 29 & 30, 2022 amidst the welcoming Alliance campus.

Alliance University continues to reimagine the idea of the Indian university as a hub of art and culture. The festival helps further Alliance’s vision to become the Cosmopolis – a public sphere throbbing with ideas and debates to make Bangalore truly cosmopolitan.

The theme for this festival is “Writing outside the frame”. To shine the spotlight on voices lying outside the usual frame of the literati, Alliance University would bring together exhilarating confluence of styles, modes and mediums of literature that evade convention.

APWT is the largest and longest running international literary networking association dedicated to Asia Pacific literature, publishing, and translation. Each year prior to COVID APWT hosted a major event in a different city in the region. APWT offers something unique in the literary landscape.

In its 17th year, Asia Pacific Writers and Translators is the region’s longest running and largest literary network. #APWT2022 would be an interactive program designed to connect Asia Pacific Writers around the world over three days, featuring about 100 speakers and performers. The Asia Pacific Literary Festival 2022 would see the likes of renowned mythologist, Devdutt Patnaik; International Booker Prize winner of 2022, Geetanjali Shree; award winning stand-up & host, Danish Sait; international journalist at Financial Times, Victor Mallet; winner of the Varuna Harper Collins Manuscript Prize, Sally Breen; contemporary Carnatic progressive rock band, AGAM; and many more, speak and perform at the event.

You can join the festival by registering on https://www.alliance.edu.in/apwt2022/ us for an immersive festival experience at the Alliance University campus in Bangalore.
