The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Examination (AIAPGET)–2021 in view of a upsurge of COVID cases in the country. The entrance exam which was earlier set to be held on June 7, 2021. However, it has now been delayed for a minimum of three (03) months.
NTA will announce the revised new exam dates in the due course of time. It will be announced online at the official website of AIAPGET 2021, which is ntaaiapget.nic.in. Besides the exam date, the conducting body will also announce the date for the release of online application form for AIAPGET 2021 at a later stage.
The notification as released by NTA reads as “The All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Examination (AIAPGET) – 2021 was scheduled for 07 June 2021. However, in view of a steep upsurge of COVID 19 cases in the country, it has been decided to postpone the AIAPGET – 2021 for a minimum of three months. The revised date for the exam will be announced later on.”

NTA conducts the AIAPGET entrance exam every year for admission to MD / MS / PG Diploma in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy courses. It is one of the biggest national level AYUSH entrance exam.
Generally, the online registration for the entrance exam starts in the month of May and students get a month’s time to submit the complete form along with the payment of application fee. After the application process is over, NTA then issues admit card to the registered candidates for download online at its official website. It is a mandatory document to be carried by the candidates on the day of the entrance exam.
Along with the AIAPGET application form, NTA will also the information brochure for the examination which consists of all important information about the exam like eligibility criteria, application process, exam pattern, syllabus, selection criteria and more. Aspirants are advised to read all the details about the exam carefully as and when the brochure is released.
Candidates who have a degree of BAMS / BUMS / BSMS / BHMS / Graded BHMS or those with a provisional pass certificate are eligible to apply for AIAPGET. Besides this, aspirants must have completed their internship for one year.
The entrance exam is held in online mode for a duration of 120 minutes. The test comprises of objective-type multiple choice questions (MCQs) for a maximum marks of 480. The marking scheme generally followed for the entrance test is that for a correct answers, candidates get 4 marks and they lose 1 marks for each incorrect answer. The selection of the candidate is done based on their performance in the entrance exam after which counselling is done at central level to offer admission to the aspirants in their desired college/institute.
