Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore announced the extension of the registration deadline for the IIM Indore Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) 2021 to May 31, 2021, up to 5:00 pm. The extension was announced on May 05, 2021, on the official website iimidr.ac.in. The decision was taken in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and the surge in coronavirus cases in the country. The pandemic created multiple difficulties for candidates during the registration process. Other information regarding the exam shall be updated on the official website in due course of time.
To apply for the IPMAT 2021 exam, candidates must register on the official website iimidr.ac.in to get the User Id and Password. To do so, they must enter the required information like name, gender, category, date of birth, email address, nationality, country of residence and mobile number. On Submitting these details, candidates shall receive their User Id and password on their registered email ID and mobile number.
Using the credentials, candidates must login to the website and fill the application form. They are instructed to fill in their name, date of birth, mobile number and email ID carefully as these credentials cannot be changed after completing the registration process. After completing the application form applicants have to pay the IPMAT 2021 non-refundable application fee.
Candidates have to pay Rs.4,130 to apply for the exam. However, SCT, ST and PwD category candidates must pay Rs.2,065 as application fee. Candidates must note that this fee is inclusive of 18% GST. However, to avail any concession, SCT, ST, NC-OBC and PwD category candidates must present a valid Caste certificate supporting their reservation. Similarly, EWS candidates must present a valid document justifying their eligibility to apply for the exam under the EWS category. However, no change in the category shall be entertained after submitting the application form.
IPMAT 2021 examination shall be divided into three sections – Quantitative Ability (MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question) and verbal Ability (MCQ). Each section shall be allotted a duration of 40 minutes. Moreover, each question in the exam shall carry 4 marks and 1 mark shall be deducted for every wrong answer. However, the Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question) section shall not contain any negative marking. Candidates have to answer the questions in the prescribed order and this order shall remain the same for all aspirants. Candidates shall come know the order of questions during the examination.
The exam selection process is decided based on the composite scores of two exams – Aptitude Test (AT) and Personal Assessment (PA). AT holds a weightage of 65 marks whereas PA holds a weightage of 35 marks. Only the candidates who qualify the aptitude test shall be permitted to attend the personal assessment round.
