Candidates who are pursuing class 12 with Accountancy subject can now check its syllabus. The Central Board of Secondary Education has released Class 12 Accountancy Syllabus. The syllabus is present online on the official website cbse.nic.in. It is available under the tab examinations.
CBSE has divided the entire paper of Accountancy into two sections i.e. Theory and Practicals. The theory part is further subdivided into two parts and units. So, there are three parts in this subject such as Part A, Part B, and Part C. The names of the parts are Accounting for Not-for-Profit Organizations, Partnership Firms and Companies, Financial Statement Analysis, and Project Work. There are also two other parts, B and C i.e. Computerized Accounting, and Project Work.
In Part-A, there are three units and in Part-B two units. So, there are a total of five units in the theory part. The name of the units from one to five are Financial Statements of Not-for-Profit Organizations, Accounting for Partnership Firms, Accounting for Companies, Analysis of Financial Statements, and Cash Flow Statement.
CBSE has also provided some number of periods in which the syllabus should be completed. So, the CBSE teachers are advised to follow the instructions to finish the syllabus. The entire syllabus should be completed within 240 periods. The number of periods to finish the unit one to five is 25 periods, 90 periods, 35 periods, 30 periods, and 20 periods.
In terms of the marks, the Central Board of Secondary Education has also provided the marks for each unit. The questions will be asked in the ratio given by the board. So, the distribution of the marks have been done for the unit one is 10 marks, unit two 35 marks, unit three 15 marks, unit four 12 marks, and unit five 8 marks. Overall, the theory part is having 80 marks while for the practical part, the board has given 20 marks. Entirely, a total of 100 marks have been provided to the Accountancy subject.
Last year, the question paper for the Accountancy subject was leaked. It shook the nation. The question paper was circulated through the whats app group. This year, the students are expected not to face the same issue again.
For the current session, the CBSE Date Sheet 2019 is expected to be released in the fourth week of December 2018. The board will first conduct the exam for the vocational subjects. Then the board exams for the core subjects will be held.
