XAT 2019

The Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI) has announced the exam dates for XAT 2019. XLRI is the exam conducting body which conducts Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) on behalf of XAMI. The exam is scheduled to be held on January 06, 2019. It is a computer-based test which will be held in a single shift, i.e. from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM.

The complete schedule for XAT 2019 has been announced today at its official website. As per it, the registration for XAT 2019 will start on August 20, 2018, and the last date to submit the application form is November 30, 2018. The candidates will be able to register online at xatonline.in. With the announcement of the exam dates, there are few changes which have been observed for XAT 2019. For example, there is a hike in the registration fee.

Last year, the application fee was Rs. 1650/-, however, now the candidates have to pay an amount of Rs. 1700/- for the registration for XAT. Also, there has been a change in the mode of payment. For XAT 2019, the aspirants can pay the registration fee by online mode only.

The registration for XAT 2019 is the preliminary step towards applying to XLRI and XAT Associate Institutes. The candidates applying to XAT Associate Institutes, besides XLRI have to apply separately according to their choice.

The eligibility criteria for XAT 2019 is very simple and crisp. Those who wish to apply for XAT exam must have a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years duration) in any discipline from a recognized university. Those who will complete their final year of their graduation by June 10, 2019, are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

Once the registration process ends, the exam conducting body then issues the admit card to the candidates who successfully submit their application form before the last date. The XAT Admit Card will be available for download on December 20, 2018.

Another big change in XAT 2019 is in its exam pattern. Until last year, there was 01 essay question. Well, now for XAT 2019, the overall exam pattern remains the same but there will be no essay question. The exam will now be of 03 hours duration and the paper will be divided into two parts.

Part A will consist of questions from topics like English Language and Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, whereas, Part B will now consist of only General Knowledge questions. Part A will have total 74 number of questions and Part B will have a total of 25 questions.

The result for XAT 2019 will be published on the official website by the last week of January 2019. The score of this national level entrance test is used by XAT Associate Members and more than 150 B-schools for admission.
