CFA Exam Results 2018 of Level I and II which was held on June 23, 2018, will be released on August 14, 2018. Candidates who have appeared for Level I and II exams for Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) will get their results by email.
To check CFA result, the candidates will not have to do anything else. The result will be emailed to them. It will be sent to the registered email id of the candidates. The CFA Institute will release the result after 9:00 AM. According to the notification available on the official website, the delivery time of the email may vary due to the service. So, the institute does not guarantee the same delivery time of the result.
The result for the level I and II used to be available within 60 days of the exams while the students get the level III result within 90 days.
To get the admission, the candidates need to clear all the three stages i.e. level I, II and III. Level I is conducted to check the ethical and professional knowledge of the aspirants. For the level I, the candidates will get the result status as passed or not passed as well as the detailed information of their performance. If the candidates are passed then he/she can prepare for the level II. Level II tests the understanding of the asset evaluation, application and analysis. Those who pass the second level are qualified for the third level. If the candidate passed the level III then he/she is all set to work professionally as a portfolio manager/ financial adviser/ research analyst/ relationship manager etc.
The Board of Governors set some minimum passing scores for each level. It makes the fare criteria for the candidates to get admission. So, the candidates must score the minimum passing criteria to get promoted to the next level.
Talking about the pass rates of the previous years’ then the candidates can see that for the December 2017 exam, the pass percentage was 43% for the level I. For the June 2017 exams, the percentage was 43% for the level I, 47% for the level II and 54% for the level III.
Considering the pass percentage for the previous 10 years, the candidates can see that the percentage of the level I stands at 40%. For the level II, it is 44% while for the level III, the pass percentage is 52%.
The pass percentage is not fixed and it varies on the basis of the difficulty of the exams, the number of students take part and due to some other factors. All the candidates need to do is score more than the minimum pass percentage to get admission.
