The online tests for BITSAT 2021 are scheduled to be conducted from August 03 to 09, 2021. However, with seven days due for the first day of the examination, speculations are arising whether the examinations will be postponed or not. Students have now taken to Twitter and are posting their concerns as to why the BITSAT 2021 should be postponed.
The main reason that is being seen is that the dates for BITSAT 2021 are clashing with other examinations like EAMCET and GUJCET. Earlier, the fourth session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) fell after a gap of only two days from the third session. But, keeping in mind the interests of the student community, the fourth session got postponed and will now start from August 26. With the conclusion of the third JEE session today, students are now worried over BITSAT, which is scheduled to start on August 03. Students have already had a tough year due to the pandemic. In addition to this, if they have to sit for coinciding examinations, then it would be difficult for them.
Students who have enrolled for both TS EAMCET and BITSAT examinations are also facing difficulties. In this tweet, the student is now urging TS EAMCET officials to either prepone the examination to either August 04 or 05 as both the exams fall on the same date, i.e. August 06. Similarly, another student has stated his predicament as both his TS EAMCET and BITSAT fall on August 04. But, to aid the students, the Telangana State Council of Higher Education has declared that the Board will accept requests for changing the TS EAMCET dates as the dates are clashing with BITSAT.
Unlike every other year, this year, the BITSAT is going to be held before the JEE exams. Students feel that this arrangement of conducting BITSAT before both the JEE Mains and Advanced exams is not justified.
However, another demand for postponing the BITSAT exams has been backed by the fact that most of the students are not yet vaccinated. Amidst all these concerns, there is no guarantee whether BITSAT will be postponed or not. Importantly, so far, there has been no official announcement regarding the same.
Nevertheless, the BITSAT 2021 slot booking process has ended today, i.e. July 27, 2021 at 5 PM. Students who have already booked their slots can download their hall tickets and other instructions. Note that if any candidate has not downloaded their hall tickets can do the same till the day of their examination. For downloading the hall tickets, candidates can visit bitsadmission.com and click on the link for downloading the hall ticket and instructions. Then, they have to enter their application number followed by their password and click on the ‘Proceed’ button to download the hall ticket.
