The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet released the admit cards for the UGC NET 2021 examination. According to the official notice, the UGC NET 2021 exam will be conducted from November 20 to November 30, and December 01 to December 05. Nonetheless, there has been no official update regarding the availability of the UGC NET admit card 2021. This has led to the candidates being frustrated as almost every source on the internet states that the admit cards will be released ‘soon’.

The term ‘soon’ is ambiguous in the sense that it tells nothing specific about the availability of the admit cards. Although it is not possible to clearly state the date on which the UGC NET admit card 2021 will be available, it can be assumed that the same is expected by the end of this week. Now, this is just a mere prediction based on previous year data and may or may not be the right claim.

Back in 2020, the admit cards were released on September 25 for the examinations that were scheduled from September 29 to October 01. In 2019, the UGC NET admit cards were released on November 10 for the exams that were scheduled from December 02 to 06. This shows that the time period for releasing the admit cards is somewhere between 04 to 20 days. Hence, it can be said that there is ample time for the admit cards to be available. For example, if the UGC NET 2021 examination starts from November 20, 2021; then the admit cards are likely to be available from November 15, 2021, onwards.

As and when the admit cards are released, candidates will be able to download the same from the official website by following these steps.

Step 1- Go to the official website – ugcnet.nta.nic.in

Step 2- Find the link for downloading the UGC NET admit card for December 2020 and June 2021 cycles

Step 3- Click on that link and a new page will open

Step 4- Provide application number, date of birth, and the displayed security pin

Step 5- Click on the ‘Submit’ button

Step 6- Find the option for downloading the UGC NET 2021 admit cards and click on it

Step 7- Crosscheck the details mentioned in the admit card, download it and take a printout.

Candidates are hereby advised that these steps for downloading the admit cards have been in use for a long time. Nevertheless, they may or may not remain the same this time. Until the admit cards are issued, candidates should continue with their preparation.
