Western Railways Recruitment 2020: 41 Vacancies Out for Junior Technical Associate, Application Starts from July 24

Applications for Junior Technical Associate in Electrical/Works/Tele/S&T department are invited upto August 22, 2020.

Western Railways is inviting eligible candidates to submit their applications to fill up the vacant posts of Junior Technical Associate. An official notification with NOTIFICATION No.E/890/1/Contract/JE/S&C is available on the official website, rrc-wr.com. Overall 41 vacancies are announced under this recruitment. Applications of suitable candidates are accepted through the official website from July 24, 2020, onwards. The link will activate from 10:00 AM. Submit the applications form before the last date which is August 28, 2020.

To apply for Junior Technical Associate, candidates must have a three years Diploma or B. Sc in concerned subjects. They must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their Bachelor’s degree. However, the relaxation of these marks is provided to the reserved category candidates. OBC- Non-creamy layer candidates must have obtained a minimum 55% marks and SC/ST candidates must have secured 50% marks.

Along with the educational qualification, the candidates also have to fulfil the age limit criteria. Candidates have to be within the age limit of 18 years to 33 years as on July 22, 2020. Moreover, relaxation of the upper age limit of provided to OBC and SC/ST candidates. The upper age limit for OBC candidates is 36 years and for SC/ST candidates is 38 years.

The application fee for Western Railways Recruitment can be submitted through online mode only. Candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- and SC/ST/OBC/Women/Minorities/EWS have to pay Rs. 250/- as the application fee. However, the fee of those candidates who are found eligible and actually appears for the personality/intelligence test is refunded. The fee can be paid using Debit card / Credit card / Net Banking etc.

Candidates interested and eligible for the recruitment can submit their applications by visiting the official website, wr.indianrailways.gov.in or rrc-wr.com. The link to submit the online application form can be located under news and recruitment section > Contractual JE(cons)engagement. Before applying, make sure that candidates have an active mobile number and email ID. During the application procedure, candidates have to upload scanned images of the photograph, 10th mark sheet, proof of fate of birth, caste certificate, diploma/gradation degree.

The selection criteria for Junior Technical Associate involves 03 stages – qualification, experience and personality/ intelligence test. In the qualification round, the conducting body verified the eligibility of the candidates and scores they based on their overall percentage This stage carries 55 marks out of 100. The next stage is an experience where candidates work experience is checked and marks are awarded to them accordingly. The last stage personality/ intelligence around which carries 15 marks. Qualifying all the stages allows candidates to appear for the medical examination and then training for the post.
