The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education is planning to reduce the WB Madhyamik High School Syllabus for the upcoming session 2022. This decision will likely reduce the burden of the class 10th students for the final exam. As per the latest reports, the Education Department will release the blueprint of the updated syllabus soon. Last year, the WB Class 10th examination was conducted with a 70% reduced syllabus of different subjects. The candidates should wait for the official confirmation regarding the syllabus by WBBSE.
Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, the class 10th schools have been closed in the state. Although, there is no official confirmation regarding the opening of the schools. However, some internal sources are saying that the schools will be re-opened after the Durga Puja. Another rumoured news says that the volume of the syllabus of the High School will be dependent on the duration for which the classroom-based classes are held.
One of the major benefits of the WB High School syllabus reduction is that it helps the candidates preparing better for the examination. As of now, there has not been a single class held for the students in West Bengal. Keeping the Class 10th syllabus according to the classroom studies will definitely reduce the panic amongst the students. This will also help them in preparing for the High School final exam with a calm mind.
The education department is now working to develop a coherent syllabus for the High School students. Once this process is complete and a blueprint is developed, the same will be sent to the CM for approval. After completing all the official formalities, the updated syllabus will be available for the candidates.
Last year, the board has announced the reduced syllabus for the class 10th exam in the month of December. According to the same, the syllabus has been reduced by 70%. Along with this, the exam pattern also saw some drastic changes with the chapter wise marks distribution altered.
In the previous year, the board also announced that the students of classes 6 to 9th will be promoted to the higher class directly. In fact, the candidates studying in these grades were abstained from appearing in the promotional examination. The final decision regarding the final exams of these grades is also awaited by the students.
As per our assumptions, the board will make an official announcement regarding the updated syllabus for Class 10th soon. Once, the board completes the restructuring of the syllabus, it will notify the exam dates for the Class 10th final exam too. The candidates are advised to not panic and keep a tab on the official website for any announcement.
