West Bengal Police Sub Inspector recruitment 2019 exam is in two weeks time.

WB Police SI Admit Card

West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has issued the admit card for the sub inspector recruitment exam scheduled to be held on December 15, 2019. WB Police is conducting SI unarmed branch (UB) and armed branch (AB) recruitment 2019 preliminary written exam for a total of 668 vacancies. 

To download admit cards, candidates who had applied for the recruitment, need to go to wbpolice.gov.in and click the recruitment link in main menu. Then navigate to the link for details against “recruitment to the post of sub-inspector (UB) and sub-inspector (AB) in West Bengal Police 2019”.  On the next page, click the get details link against the message “download admit card”. 

On the next page, clicking the “click here to download admit card for preliminary written examination for the post of sub-inspector in west bengal police – 2019” leads to the login page for downloading the admit card for prelims.

Direct link to download the admit card is wbprbsi.applythrunet.co.in/GetAdmitWT.aspx. There, candidates need to login with their 8 digit application number, date of birth and get the hall ticket. 

On the third Sunday this month, WBP will conduct the prelims exam from 12 noon to 1:30 pm. 

The exam will have questions on general studies, logical and analytical reasoning, arithmetic. These sections will respectively have 50 questions of 100 marks, 25 questions of 50 marks, and 25 questions of 50 marks. Arithmetics will be of madhyamik level. The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. One fourth of marks allotted to the question will be deducted as negative marking in the case of incorrect answers.

Prelims is only qualifying in nature, and the marks obtained in it will not be counted for merit. 

Candidates may have also received sms alert at their registered mobile number. However non receipt of sms will not be accepted as an excuse for not downloading admit card, by the board. Also, the board will not send any hard copy of admit card via post or any means to candidates individually. 

West Bengal Police has established a dress code in place for the exam. Candidates are not allowed to wear sports shoes, sneakers, high heeled footwear or any kind of shoes in order to get entry in the exam hall. 

The board says, “Mobile phone, bluetooth enabled hearing device, portable scanner, digital wrist watch, calculator, pen or any other material for cheating is strictly prohibited from being taken into the venue. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail strict legal action including ban from future examination. Canvassing of any kind will lead to cancellation of candidature without recourse to representation.”

WB police SI recruitment 2019 selection process comprises of prelims, PMT and PET, final combined competitive exam, interview or personality test. Applications against the advertised vacancies were accepted in August-September.

Vacancies in this recruitment are divided between unarmed branch of police, with 494 vacancies, and armed branch with 174.
