Vikram Sarabhai Space Center, ISRO, government of India is inviting the online applications for the post of technical assistant, scientific assistant and library assistant for various discipline. For the same VSSC recruitment 2019, vide advertisement number Advt. no. VSSC-312 has been published on its official website available at vssc.gov.in. Eligible candidates can apply until the last date, January 1, 2020 to fill up a total of 63 vacant positions.
For the said vacancies, various disciplines under the post of technical assistant are that of mechanical, electronics, chemical, computer science, automobiles, electrical and cinematography or photography, for which a total of 56 seats have been decided. Similarly, VSSC is recruiting for 4 seats of scientific assistant for various subjects viz physics, chemistry and mathematics. The same for the library assistant A post is 3 seats.
While considering the reservation of seats for the reserved category candidates as per the seat matrix, there are 34 seats for UR, 18 for OBC, 6 for SC, 5 for EWS and 5 for persons with disabilities candidates. PWD includes disabilities like hearing handicapped (HH) and visually handicapped (VH). However, it must be taken a note of, as clearly mentioned in the advertisement that center reserves the right to not to fill any vacancies or positions if it has been decided and also the number of announced vacancies are provisionl which can either increase or decrease on the discretion of center.
To apply for the various post recruited, VSSC has set the eligibility criteria for the candidates so as to maintain a suitable intake of application forms only. Candidates wishes to apply for the post of technical assistant shall possess a first class diploma in a relevant specific discipline from a recognized institution. Similary if one is applying for the post of scientific assistant, then a holding a bachelor’s in science degree passed by first class in relevant subject is mandatory. For library assistant A the one must hold a graduation degree in any field and a master’s degree in library science or library and information science.
VSSC has made the application form available online on its official website. To avail the form and apply online, one must visit the website, vssc.gov.in. On visiting the home page, click on the “recruitment” tab. Soon after the click, a new page with all the current opening and related information gets open. From there on the right hand side, select the link stating ” RMT Advt no. 312″ available under the recruitment notice section. Clicking on it, redirects to the “apply online” link page. Therein, select the link and apply online by selecting the post and doing the registration.
The application fee for submitting the application form is Rs. 250 which needs to be paid online via net banking, credit card or debit card. The SC, ST, ex-servicemen, PWD and female category candidates are exemoted from paying the fee.
The selection procedure of VSSC consists of a written test and skill test. The first stage of selection will be conducted for short listing the candidates for the second stage for final selection. One who appears for the skill test has to clear the same with 60% qualification and based upon the score achieved in the written test, final selection will be done. The selected candidates will be paid a sum of Rs. 59000 per month as a salary by VSSC.
