Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has today, March 15, 202, announced an important update regarding the upcoming VITEEE 2022 examination. The update has been posted on the institute’s official website vit.ac.in. Accordingly, the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2022 has been rescheduled to June 17, 2022. The last session will be held on June 25, 2022, implying a postponement of two weeks. The official website doesn’t provide any specific reason for rescheduling the exam dates.
As of now, VIT has invited online applications for its dedicated Engineering exam. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the computer-based test on or before May 30, 2022. So, even the application deadline has been extended by a month’s time.

VITEEE 2022 Rescheduled by Two Weeks
Initially, the VITEEE 2022 examination was scheduled from May 30 to June 07, 2022. However, today, the institute published an important update –
VITEEE 22- Computer Based test at designated centres from Friday the June 17th 2022 to Saturday the June 25th, 2022.
This update clearly implies a two-week postponement in the exam dates. Apart from this, no particular reasoning or update has been provided by VIT.
VITEEE 2022 Application Form Deadline
While announcing the VITEEE 2022 exam schedule, the institute had also opened the application link on the official website vit.ac.in. Initially, the deadline to apply was notified as April 30, 2022. However, as the exam dates have been postponed, candidates have been given an extra month to submit the form i.e., up to May 30, 2022.
Looking at the updated schedule, one can speculate the reason for rescheduling VITEEE 2022 exam dates. The initial deadline of April 30, 2022, must have been inadequate for students to fill and submit their form along with paying the fee. So, with the possible intention of entertaining more applicants, VIT decided on extending the application deadline. This invariably impacted the exam schedule.
Since the exam schedule has been revised, VIT has not disclosed the dates for result announcement and counselling. Earlier, the two events were scheduled for the same date i.e., June 10, 2022.
