Today Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Admit Card for the most prestigious exam of India i. e. IAS 2018. The link for downloading the admit card is activated on upsc.gov.in. The qualifiers of prelims who filled the Detailed Application Form are now able to download the admit card. The main exam is to hold from September 28, 2018.
The admit card is available on the website of UPSC, no other mode for getting it has been introduced. There are two ways to fetch the hall ticket either by Registration Number or Roll Number with Date of Birth. Either way will lead the candidates to his/ her admit card.
Steps to download the admit card
Firstly, visit the official website of UPSC.
Now search for the link which says “Civil Services Main Admit Card”.
Thereafter, a login page will appear on the screen.
Candidates have to enter Registration ID and Date of birth or Roll number and Date of Birth.
Click on the Submit Button after entering the details.
Admit Card will appear on screen.
IAS Admit Card 2018 is the key to enter in the examination hall. The candidates who will not carry their admit card will not be allowed to appear in the examination. Along with admit card candidates have to carry one photo identity proof.
After downloading the Admit Card candidate should read all the mentioned details on the Admit card. If the mentioned details on the admit card is incorrect than immediately contact to the Commission. Candidate can also use the documents which they have used during filling the application form for IAS 2018 for checking all the mentioned details on the Admit Card.
Check the Detailed Schedule of IAS Main Exam
As the mian examination is scheduled to hold in the same month, the candidates should be sure about the dates and session of the exam. The main examination occupied 05 days to be concluded. It starts on September 28, 2018 and will continue on 29 & 30. And in October the exam is scheduled on 06 & 07.

While talking about the exam pattern the exam has been distributed in 09 papers. In which 07 are compulsory and 02 are optional subjects candidates can choose the subject for the examination. The aspirants of IAS should note that the mian examination is descriptive in nature hence there no chance for negative marking. But if handwriting of any candidates is not easily readable then the marks will be deducted.
The final merit list will have weightage of marks obtained in main exam and Personality Test. Here one thing is to be noted that preliminary examination is qualifying in nature. Thus, there is no role of prelims marks in the merit list.
