Union Public Service Commission conducted the National Defence Academy first session exams on April 18, 2021. Commonly referred to as the NDA 1 2021, the examination was held to fill up 400 vacancies in the National Defence Academies and Naval Academy. Now with the written exam over, the UPSC is expected to releases the result of the written exam very soon. The NDA 1 result releases online at the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in as per schedule after the exam.
Based on the information available in the official notification of the biannual defence recruitment exam, the NDA 1 2021 result is set to be released in the month of June 2021. Concerned candidates can check out excerpts of the notification indicating the same below. Once the result is out, it can be checked directly from the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in through the Results tab.

Last year, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commission conducted the NDA 1 and NDA 2 exams in a combined mode on a single date. The result came out exactly 33 days after the exam was conducted. On this basis, it can be anticipated that the Commission will take at least 33 days before they can release the result. It may be noted that the NDA result releases in the form of merit list of candidates who qualify in the written exam.
Those who qualify in the main exam and are enlisted in the merit lists are called to appear in the SSB interviews. Once the written exam is cleared by a candidate, they must visit any of the following email addresses, depending on the wing of defence they have chosen to join.

Candidates have to register online as per instructions on the applicable website and appear in the SSB interview as per date and schedule indicated on the admit card. As per the official notice the SSB interviews are going to be held from July 2021 to September 2021. On the first day of the SSB interviews, candidates will go through Psychological Aptitude Test. Those who qualify on the first day will be inducted into the subsequent days into other Intelligence Tests. However, one must qualify on the day one to be able to continue through the interviews.
The UPSC has not yet announced the NDA 1 2021 cut offs. Essentially, one’s score must be equal to or more than the specified cut off marks as established by the Commission for the written exam. The NDA cut offs are also expected on the official website in due course of time. Based on official sources, the NDA 1 2020 the minimum qualifying standard at the written test was 355 out of 900 (with at least 25% marks in each subject).
