Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is scheduled to end the UPSC Naval Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (NDA & NA) II 2021 today, June 29, 2021, at 6:00 pm. Thereafter, the exam is scheduled to be conducted on November 14, 2021, instead of September 05, 2021, as decided by the UPSC authorities. Interested candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria still have a few hours to apply for the recruitment exam on the official website upsconline.nic.in. For those candidates who are banking on those last few hours, here are the top 5 mistakes that they must avoid during the registration process –
#1 Not reading the instructions given before filing the application form.
Candidates applying for the UPSC NDA II 2021 recruitment examination are advised to go through the registration instructions carefully. Even though there are time constraints, reading the given instructions beforehand will help them complete the formalities faster. Furthermore, they must read the given instructions only on the official website upsconline.nic.in. Not doing so may lead to unnecessary discrepancies in the registration process.
#2 Depending on a separate “correction facility” to make changes in the form.
UPSC authorities DO NOT provide any separate correction facility to candidates to make changes in their application form. Hence, they must fill the form with utmost vigilance and care. In case of any mistakes, candidates are instructed to submit a fresh application by today, 6:00 pm. After doing so, the registration number, email ID and mobile number of the newest form will be considered for processing.
#3 Leaving the registration process incomplete.
UPSC NDA II 2021 registration process comprises of 5 steps – 1. Filling the application form, 2. Paying the application fee, 3. Uploading the scanned photograph, signature and Photo ID proof, 4. Selecting exam centre and 5. Declaring consent. If any of these steps are missing, the candidate’s application shall not be accepted. Hence, they must ensure to complete all five registration formalities before the given deadline.
#4 Uploading the documents as per the wrong format.
UPSC authorities have prescribed the dimensions and file format for submitting the photograph, signature and Photo ID. While the first two documents are to be uploaded in the JPG format, photo ID proof must be uploaded in the PDF format. Again, candidates must refer to instructions given and upload the required documents as per the specified dimensions.
#5 Not retaining the same email ID and mobile no. for the recruitment process.
All candidates must have used a specific email ID and mobile number to register for the UPSC NDA II 2021 examination. These credentials shall be used by UPSC authorities for all future communication. Thus, they are advised to retain these credentials at least till the recruitment process gets over. They must not discard or delete their registered email ID and phone number under any circumstances.
