UPSC CDS 2 2021 Notification Released, Apply @ upsc.gov.in by August 24

The UPSC CDS 2 will be conducted on November 14, 2021. The commission has announced 339 vacancies for admission in different defence academies.

UPSC CDS 2 2021 Notification Released

Union Public Service Commission has released the official notification of UPSC CDS 2 on the official website i.e. upsconline.nic.in. The online application has commenced on August 04, 2021, and the last date for the application is August 24, 2021. The candidates can withdraw their application forms from August 31, 2021, to September 06, 2021, till 6.00 PM. The UPSC CDS 2 Exam is scheduled to be held on November 14, 2021. The commission has notified 339 vacancies for IMA, Dehradun, INA, Ezhimala, Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai.

The basic eligibility for the candidates willing to apply for UPSC CDS 2 is completing Bachelor’s degree for IMA and Officer’s Training Academy, Chennai. For the INA, Ezhimala, the candidates need to clear Bachelor’s in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution. 

Similarly, for the Air Force Academy, the candidate should have a degree from a recognised University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or should have passed Graduation in Engineering. The age of the candidates applying for the exam should be between 20 years to 24 years.

The candidates who possess all the relevant eligibility criteria as mentioned above can refer to the steps mentioned below to fill their UPSC CDS 2 Application form:

Step 1: The candidates should begin by visiting the official website of UPSC i.e. upsconline.nic.in.

Step 2: On reaching the homepage, the candidates are required to click on the Apply Online for Recruitment Exam. Post this, the candidates will be redirected to the application page.

Step 3: On the same, the candidates have to first fill Part 1 of the CDS Application form with all the relevant details i.e. Full Name, Gender, Community, Nationality, Address, Mobile Number, Email ID, academic details i.e. Candidate’s roll number, passing year and subject and percentage scored in Class 10th, 12th and Graduation exam and hit the continue button.

Step 4: Upon submitting the information, the candidates will get their Registration ID and Password. Post this, the candidates are required to click on the CDS II Registration form. On clicking the same, the candidates have to enter the Registration ID, Date of Birth and captcha code. 

Step 5: On the CDS II Registration form the candidates have to mention the test center city name, and pay the application fee.

Step 6: In the next step, the candidate has to upload all the relevant documents i.e. photograph, signature. The file size of the photograph and signature should be in the range of 20kb and 300 kb respectively. 

Step 7: Once all the details are entered, the candidate is required to pay the application fee of Rs 200 using Debit/Credit or Net banking only if the candidate belongs to the unreserved category. 

Step 8: In the end, the candidates must save or download a copy of the application form after checking the final status of the same. 

The entrance exam of UPSC CDS 2 will have two rounds i.e. written exam followed by a Personality Test round. The candidates applying for Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy will be required to appear for an exam with questions asked from English, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics. Each paper will account for 100 marks and with a separate duration of 2 hours. 

While for the admission to Officers’ Training Academy, the written exam will have questions from  English and General Knowledge. The total marks and duration of the examination will be similar for this exam. The question paper will have bilingual languages i.e. English and Hindi. The candidates who are successful in the written exam will be called for Personality Test.
