The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandants (AC) recruitment. Along with the notification, the online application process has already begun and will continue till May 10, 2022, at upsc.gov.in. This time, a total of 253 vacancies are going to be filled via this recruitment. Selection of candidates will be done based on Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) along with Interview and Personality Test. After that, a merit list will be drawn and the shortlisting will be carried out.
Exam Date and Schedule
The written test will be a one-day exam and will be held on August 07, 2022. However, other important dates regarding submission of application, fee payment, etc. have been given in the table below.

Eligibility Criteria
The applying candidate must be a citizen of India and both male and female candidates will be eligible for appointment. However, the minimum age limit for application is 20 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years. The upper age limit is relaxed for the reserved categories. In terms of educational qualifications, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree. They must also meet the physical standards as specified in the official notification. The online application fee is INR 200.
Written Exam
There will be two papers in the written exam of UPSC CAPF AC 2022. The first paper is going to be held from 10 AM to 12 Noon while the second paper is going to be conducted from 2 PM to 5 PM. Candidates who will clear the written examination are going to be called for Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Test.
Paper-I (General Ability and Intelligence) – The first paper of the written examination will be an objective-type test having MCQs. The question paper will be set in English and Hindi and the total marks are 250.
Paper-II (General Studies, Essay and Comprehension) – This is the second paper of the written examination and it will be held for 200 marks. Candidates will have the option of writing the essay component in English or Hindi. However, the medium for précis writing, comprehension components, and other communications/language skills will be English only.
