Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) recently concluded the Uttar Pradesh Board Exams 2022 registration process. The entire registration process was conducted online on the official website upmsp.edu.in. According to official reports, the state board received a total of 51 lakh applications from students of Class 10 and 12. Additionally, approximately 58 lakh applications were received from students studying in Class 9 and 11. In comparison to last year, UP received 7% less applications in 2022.
UPMSP has also provided data about the number of registrations in each class. Accordingly, the board received a total of 31,78,305 applications from Class 9 students and as many as 27,70,772 applications from those studying in Class 10.
Similarly, as many as 26,62,303 students studying in Class 11 registered for the UP Board exams 2022 and 23,56,971 Class 12 students have submitted their registration form. Officials have not provided stream-wise data and so, these figures are a sum of applications received from all three streams. Here’s a table summarising the total applications received:

As per UPMSP directions, schools heads had to upload the data of their registered students latest by November 08, 2021. However, in case of any amendments or rectifications needed in the UP Board 2022 applications, the same could be done and re-uploaded between November 09 and 14, 2021. Thereafter, school heads were also given the responsibility of uploading the list of registered students along with their photographs to the regional office latest by November 18, 2021.
Now that the UP Boards 2022 registration is over, candidates can dedicate their time and effort towards preparing for the board exams. For the academic year 2021-22, the Class 10 and 12 boards are going to be held in the February-March 2022 period. The theory exams are going to be held in the fourth week of March 2022 and the board practicals will be conducted prior, in the third week of February 2022. The same was confirmed by a UPMSP official.
In addition to that, UPMSP announced the Class 10 and 12 results for the 2021 improvement exams recently. Results were hosted on the official portal upmsp.edu.in. The improvement exams were conducted through the pen-and-paper mode on September 18, 2021. Approximately 90.75% of candidates in Class 10 passed the improvement exams. Similarly, 77.76% of Class 12 students were also declared passed by the board.
