National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently released a notification stating that the Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET)- 2021 has been postponed as the exam dates were clashing with CBSE and UP class 12th board exams. Now, UPCET 2021 is will be held on June 15, 2021, instead of May 18, 2021.
On the other hand, CBSE and UP board have also postponed the class 12 exam until further notice. The new date sheet for UP board exams 2021 is expected to release in May. For the CBSE class 12 boards, the COVID-19 situation will be reviewed on June 01, 2021, and based on the situation, decisions will be taken. The board will release a notice of at least 15 days will be given before the start of the examinations. UP Board will review the situation in May and then announce the final decision.
Another notice has been released by NTA for announcing the modifications in UPCET 2021. As per the notice, admission to Bachelor of Technology Bio-Technology, B.Tech (BT) / Bachelor of Technology Agriculture Engineering, B. Tech (AG) offered by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University(AKTU), Lucknow, will be done on the basis of JEE (Mains) score. But if any seats in these courses are vacant after JEE (Mains) counselling, they would be filled, on the basis of UPCET 2021 score.
All the papers of UPCET will b held on the same day, i.e. on June 15, 2021, but at different time slots. Now the revised schedule of all papers of UPCET 2021 is as follows.
The paper for the first year of the following courses BHMCT, B.Des., BFA, BFAD, B.Voc., MBA(Integrated) will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
The paper of First year of BBA course will be held from 08:00 am to 10:00 am. The MBA paper will be also held from 8 am to 10 am.
Second Year (Lateral Entry) of the B. Tech (Lateral Entry for Diploma holders) and B. Pharm (Lateral Entry) will be also held from 8 am to 10 am.
Second Year (Lateral Entry) of B.Tech (Lateral Entry for B.Sc. Graduates) will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. First-year of the following courses: B.Pharm, B.Tech (BT) and B.Tech (AG) will be held from 04:00 pm to 07:00 pm.
MCA paper will be held from 12 pm to 2 pm and the MCA (Integrated) paper will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm.
The papers of M.Sc. ( Maths), M.Sc (Physics), M.Sc (Chemistry), M.Tech (Civil), M.Tech (Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology), M.Tech (Electrical Engineering), M.Tech (Electronics & Communication Engineering), and M.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) will be all held from 4 pm to 6 pm.
