UP Police result 2018 announced

Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has finally announced UP Police Result 2018 on December 5, 2018. The result of UP Police Constable Recruitment 2018 has been published at uppbpb.gov.in and it can be checked via login only. Candidates who have qualified can also download DV/PST admit card for the document verification and physical sufficiency test which have been scheduled to be held from December 6 to 10, 2018. However, there are some ongoing confusions.

To start with, the first link to check UP Police Result 2018 which started doing the rounds on the internet, and which is probably valid also, is https://qa-efmprd-g01.digialm.com//EForms/configuredHtml/1339/56001/login.html. Now according to reports, this is actually the link where candidates should be able to check their result. However since 8 PM, this link has not been working. Until some time ago, there was no update either on uppbpb.gov.in or prpb.gov.in – the two official websites of UP Police.

Then finally the official website uppbpb.gov.in showed an update. According to the latest notice, DV/PST admit cards were uploaded.

UP Police Result 2018: Official website uppbpb.gov.in shows result notification.
UP Police Result 2018: Official website uppbpb.gov.in shows result notification.

Upon clicking the notice link, one is redirected to the exclusive portal for UP Police Recruitment 2018 which is running at the link https://cdn.digialm.com//per/g01/pub/1339/ASM/WebPortal/1/[email protected]@[email protected]@1#! (sic). The latest announcement on this clearly says that result is out, and qualified candidates can download their DV/PST admit cards. Duly, link to download admit card is given albeit with the text ‘Click here for result generation’.

UP Police Result 2018: Result declared, qualified candidates can login to download their DV/PST Admit Card.
UP Police Result 2018: Result declared, qualified candidates can login to download their DV/PST Admit Card.

Now this link takes one to a login page.

UP Police Result 2018: Login activated for DV/PST Admit Card.
UP Police Result 2018: Login activated for DV/PST Admit Card.

Now the catch is this – when you / candidate enters login details (registration number and date of birth), then only he/she gets logged in who has qualified. Those who have not qualified are not able to login, or so it seems until now.

UP Police Result 2018: If you have qualified, then you can login and see option to download DV Call Letter.
UP Police Result 2018: If you have qualified, then you can login and see option to download DV Call Letter.
UP Police Result 2018: Click to download admit card.
UP Police Result 2018: Click to download admit card.

Now this seems a little strange as there has to be some way that candidates should be able to check their result, irrespective of whether they have qualified or not. So the theory is, yet to be validated that is, that the initial link which was shared is to check result (for all candidates) and the new one is only for downloading admit card (for qualified candidates). Of course, until the other link works, or there is some official clarification, this remains just a theory.

It is pertinent to point out here that the cut offs for UP Police Recruitment 2018 were published earlier today. The cut offs seem to be a bit high and many candidates have been debating upon it on social media. However it is relevant to note that a very large number of candidates had applied for the post, and to limit the number of qualified candidates to 1.5 times the number of vacancies, cut offs had to be high.

The UP Police Constable Recruitment will be done for a total 41520 number of vacancies. Previously the written examination was held on June 18 and 19, 2018 but the examination was re-conducted on October 25 and 26, 2018 since the initial exam had to be cancelled due to the distribution of the same question paper on both the days in the second shift of the exam.

What is most important to take away from this news though is that all candidates should check their results at once, and if they have qualified they should download DV/PST admit cards. This is because the DV/PST start tomorrow only, that is December 6, 2018. So those whose DV/PST is scheduled to be on December 6, 2018, especially need to rush and get ready for it all.
