As per several reports, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is likely to release the date sheet for Classes 10 and 12 board exams tomorrow, December 30, 2021. This news comes amid several state and central boards publishing their date sheets for the impending board exams 2021-22. This year, several education boards have decided to conduct the board exams in two phases or terms. After adopting such an exam model, UPMSP will also release its date sheet soon, on the official website upmsp.edu.in.
Before the release of the UP Board Classes 10 and 12 date sheets, news reports are pointing out certain important aspects of the upcoming exams. To begin with, the state board exams will likely begin in the month of March 2021. This is owing to the fact that the UP Vidhansabha Elections 2022 are scheduled to happen during the February-March 2022 period. So, it is safe to assume that both Class 10 and 12 board exams will take place during the March-April 2022 period.
As of now, UPMSP has not disclosed any information about the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board exams. However, certain media outlets are claiming that the date sheet will be out by tomorrow, December 30, 2021. While no UPMSP official has confirmed this report, there’s a 50% chance of it being true. Some news reports have also specified the timeline for the UP Class 12 board exams 2022. Accordingly, exams are scheduled to take place from March 15 to April 05, 2022. Whether this timeline is true or merely a conjecture can only be asserted once the date sheet is out.
Reportedly, this year, as many as 53 lakh students have registered for the UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams. Last year, a total of 56,03,813 students had registered for the board exams – 29,94,312 for the class 12 examination and another 26,09,501 for the class 10 exam. So this year’s figure is less than last year’s count by almost 3 lakh.
Given the current circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, the UP government is likely to take strict measures to safeguard the health of all students appearing for Class 10 and 12 board exams. Strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols will be ensured at all schools acting as exam centers. Moreover, as per reports only those schools that comply with the safety protocols will be permitted to function as exam centers.
At this moment, there is little to no clarity about the impending UP Class 10 and 12 board exams. However, with the release of the date sheet by tomorrow, students shall receive a direction and timeline to prepare for their exams.
