Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Department has decided to conduct University exams in the Open Book mode this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. MP Higher Education department has published an official notice in this regard at the website highereducation.mp.gov.in. As per the latest notice in Hindi, Graduation level first, second and final year exams as well as Post Graduation level second and fourth semester exams will be conducted in the open book mode. As per the latest directives of the Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Department, the aforementioned Graduate degree exams for all the years as well as the second and fourth semester exams of Post Graduate degree will be conducted in the open book method. In this context, candidates may note that in an open book exam, the examinees are allowed to refer to textual material, including notes and textbooks while answering questions.
In addition to the above decision, the MP Higher Education department has also notified the tentative dates of conducting the University exams. The Graduation final year exams and the Post Graduation fourth semester exams are scheduled to be held tentatively in the month of June 2021. The result of Graduation final year and Post Graduation fourth semester exams will be released by the Department, tentatively in the month of July 2021.
The exams of Graduation first year and second year as well as the Post Graduate level exam of the second semester are now scheduled to be held in July 2021. The result of these examinations will be releases in August 2021, the latest notification says.
The notice also indicates the tentative timeline for conducting the practical examinations of both Graduate and Post Graduate degree courses in 2021. The practical exams of Graduation and Post Graduation degree courses will be held only after the open book exams of Graduate first, second & final year and Post Graduate second & fourth semester are completed. Candidates can therefore expect the dates of conducting the practical exams to be scheduled only after the Graduate & Post Graduate level open book exams has been conducted.
Candidates enrolled in concerned degree programs are advised to start preparations and develop exam strategy to appear in open book exams.
