National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) 2020 admit card for exam to be held on September 29, 30 and October 01, 2020. The admit card has been uploaded under the candidate login at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. To access it, candidates have to use their application number and date of birth.

With the UG NET 2020 admit card, NTA has also issued instructions and advisory for COVID-19. Also, a self-declaration form has been issued as well. The form must be filled and carried at the exam hall with the admit card of NET. All details in it must be pre-filled, except the candidate’s signature. It is to be done at the exam hall, in the presence of the invigilator.

Candidates have to carry their admit card, id card and other important documents on the day of the exam. Additionally, they have to carry and wear their masks and gloves as well. However, fresh masks will also be given at the center. A transparent water bottle and transparent ballpoint pen will be allowed. Candidates can also carry hand sanitiser of maximum of 50 ml inside the exam hall. 5 rough sheets of A4 size will be given at the exam hall itself.

After the exam, candidates have to mandatorily drop their admit cards and rough sheets at the designated spot.
NTA is holding the UGC NET 2020 exam in 12 days between September 24 to November 13, 2020. The candidates who have their exams today and on September 25, 2020, have been issued the admit card on September 19, 2020.

For exams scheduled on October 09 and 17, November 04, 05, 11, 12, 13, 2020, the release date of the admit card will be announced soon.

It must be noted that UGC NET 2020 papers that were to be held on October 7, 21, 22, and 23 have been deferred all over the nation. This has been done due to the occasion of Durga Puja in the state of West Bengal. After NTA had declared the UGC NET schedule on September 19, 2020, Trinamool MP Abhishek Banerjee, has raised the issue of a date clash with the biggest festival of the state. The education minister of the state, Partha Chatterjee wrote to NTA for postponement of the exam.

With many other requests to postpone the exams owing to Durga Puja, the paper to be held on October 7, 2020, will be now held on November 11, 2020. The papers scheduled on October 21, 22 and 23, will be taking place on November 12, 4, and 13 respectively.

The papers that have been deferred are for Sociology, Computer Science and Applications, Education, Geography, and Hindi.
National Testing Agency (NTA) holds the responsibility to conduct the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET). This examination is conducted to select eligible applicants for ‘Assistant Professors’ or ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professors’.
