The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has extended the deadline for applying to the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design or UCEED 2022 and Common Entrance Exam for Design or CEED 2022 once again. Previously, the application deadline was October 17, 2021, but now, the same has been extended till October 24, 2021. Similarly, the last date for online registration along with a late fine is now October 29, 2021. UCEED 2022 will be conducted to admit candidates to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes while CEED 2022 will be conducted for granting admission to M.Des and PhD programmes in the IITs across the country.
Candidates who have passed class 12 or equivalent in all subjects or will be appearing in 2022, irrespective of their stream of study are eligible to apply for UCEED 2022. The entrance examination contains two parts having a total of 300 marks. Part A is a computer-based test while Part B involves sketching. The test is scheduled for January 23, 2022, from 9 AM to 12 PM. In case candidates have not yet registered for UCEED 2022, they can do so by following these steps.
Step 1: Visit the official UCEED 2022 website – uceed.iitb.ac.in or ceed.iitb.ac.in for CEED 2022
Step 2: Click on the ‘Registration’ button on the homepage and follow the next few steps after which one can enter their email ID
Step 3: Next, specify basic details, address along with the date of birth
Step 4: In the next stage, enter personal details, detailed address, educational qualification, exam cities and upload scanned copies of photo and signature
Step 5: Lastly, pay the application fee using the online payment window
The application fee for UCEED and CEED 2022 is Rs 3500 and 3200 for the unreserved candidates. For women and reserved category candidates, the application fee is INR 1750 and 1600 respectively. However, a late fine of INR 500 will be levied on candidates who pay the application fee after the deadline. Admit cards for the upcoming entrance examinations will be available to download from January 08, 2022, onwards. The results for CEED and UCEED are going to be declared on March 8 and March 10, 2021, respectively.
It must be noted that candidates applying for UCEED, CEED 2022 need to keep documents ready while filling the online application form. These documents include valid ID proof, academic certificates, category certificate (if applicable), PWD certificate (if applicable), duly signed self-declaration form if category certificate is not available, scanned copies of photograph and signature, scanned copy of qualifying exam certificate, etc. Refer to the information brochures for UCEED 2022 and CEED 2022 for more information.
