Tripura Public Service Commission has advertised 100 vacancies for the permanent post of Personal Assistant Grade-II. A detailed recruitment advertisement has been published in this regard at the official website. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online at the website i.e. tpsc.gov.in after understanding the terms and conditions indicated through advertisement number 06/2020. The last date to apply online at the website is October 16, 2020, up to 05.30 PM. Selection of eligible applicants is to be done through the three-stage examination consisting of Prelims, Type Writing & Shorthand Writing test and the Main exam.
As per the detailed advertisement, the vacancies are bifurcated across various constitutional categories. 15 vacancies are available for SC candidates, 59 for ST candidates and rest of the 26 vacancies are unreserved. All the vacancies are for the post of Personal Assistant Grade II, Group C Non Gazetted under GA (P&T) Department under the Government of Tripura. Selected candidates are to be appointed in the Scale of Level-9 of the Pay Matrix for Rs 5700-24000 along with a Grade Pay of Rs 2800 in the Pay Band 2. Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the specified minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. One must have passed Class 12th exam from a recognized Board by securing a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate. Candidates who have passed the Madhyamik examination (equivalent to Class 10) with at least 35% marks in aggregate and obtained a certificate in Stenography Course from any ITI are also eligible to apply. In addition, applicants must have 3 months or more of Computer training certificate and proficiency in typing in English on computer and shorthand writing/transcription with a minimum speed of 40 wpm and 100 wpm respectively. In addition, candidates must be within the age range of 18 to 41 years as on October 16, 2020, although relaxations are applicable for candidates belonging to special reserved categories.
The selection of the eligible applicants is to be done through a three-stage selection process. The first stage is a Prelims exam carrying 100 marks in total. There are two parts of the question paper where Part I is based on the subject of English while Part II is based on the subject of General Studies. Both parts carry 50 marks. The all objective type MCQ paper must be completed within 02 hours duration.
From among qualifiers, 5 times the number of vacancies available will be shortlisted for the Type Writing and Short Hand Writing test. The tests carry a total of 300 marks. Those who qualify this round are shortlisted for the Main exam. The all descriptive paper of the Main exam carries a total of 250 marks and distributed across three papers. Paper I is for the subject of English and carries 100 marks. Paper-II is for the subjects of Bengali or Alternative English carrying 50 marks. On the other hand, Paper III is based on GK & Current Affairs and carries 100 marks. Paper I and III are for 03 hours duration while Paper II is for 1.5 hours duration.
Applications for recruitment can be submitted online at the official website of the Commission before the last date. Candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 150 in order to apply. SC/ST, BPL, PwD candidates can pay a fee of Rs 100. Interested candidates are encouraged to go through the notification carefully before applying.
