Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani has started the process for slot booking for BITSAT 2021. Students can now visit the official website bitsadmission.com in order to book exam date and slot. The last date of slot booking is July 21, 2021, 5 PM. Admit card for the exam have also been released. Students can download the admit card after the complete the slot booking process.
Students reported instances of website crash when the process started. However the website is facing problems only intermittently, a number of candidates have confirmed that they have successfully booked a slot. Nevertheless, server issues will be an inconvenience for students since slot booking is a first-come-first-serve process. Thus, if a student is unable to book a slot quickly due to website issues, then he / she may miss out on the slot of choice. The varsity is expected to be looking into the technical matter.
In order to make a slot booking for BITSAT 2021 exam, candidates will have to carry out the following steps:
Go to the official website bitsadmission.com. Then click on the link ‘click here to book your test date and test time’. This opens the url bitsat.cbexams.com/bitsatslot2021ytzto/Default.aspx. Here, enter application number and password. Then hit the proceed button. Candidates will have to choose an examination center, date of the online test, test time/slot. Thereafter, candidates have to verify all the details given in the slot booking and click on the confirm button. A confirmation message will be pop-up on the screen, once the slot booking is completed.
It may be noted that there are two separate links – one each for slot booking, and admit card download. The direct link for slot booking is bitsat.cbexams.com/bitsatslot2021ytzto/Default.aspx. Whereas the direct link for hall ticket download is bitsat.cbexams.com/bitsatht2021ytzto/Default.aspx.
Those candidates who fail to book a slot during the stipulated time will be automatically allotted a slot by the Institute. The admit card with detailed instructions will be available for download till the day of the exam.
The Institute has decided to conduct BITSAT 2021 exam from August 03 to 09, 2021. Ironically, every year BITSAT is usually the last engineering entrance exam. However this time, JEE Main 2021 4th phase will be held after BITSAT ends.
On each of the days, first slot will be held from 9 AM to 12 noon, and the second slot from 2 PM till 5 PM. Thus there are 18 slots ideally. However depending on center, limited slots may be available. Also, the slots that a candidate sees during slot booking will only be those that are available at his/her chosen center at the time of booking. The process is like booking a ticket for watching movie in a hall.
BITSAT-2021 is a computer-based online test for admissions to Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. BITSAT-2021 is a three-hour duration. The entrance test consists of four parts – Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning, and Mathematics or Biology (For B.Pharm candidates). All questions will be of objective type with a choice of four answers. Each correct answer will fetch 3 marks, while each wrong answer will give a penalty of 1 mark.
