Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) could conduct the written test for sub inspector recruitment 2019 on two dates in January 2020. The exam for departmental candidates will be on Saturday, January 11, 2020. Whereas the test for general candidates will be on Sunday, January 12, 2020.
These exam dates have been mentioned in a notice reportedly addressed from the board to the commissioners of police in Chennai, Salem, Coimbatore, Trippur, Trichy, Madurai, Tirunelveli. Screenshots of the notification have been shared on social media, and multiple reports claim it to be true. However, the board has not published the notice, or dates at the official website, tnusrbonline.org.
Reports further suggest that the exam will be held in Chennai and 31 other districts. In these districts, TNUSRB has asked the police force, specifically their commissioners, to identify suitable exam centers. Such schools and colleges that have good number of chairs, tables, and that can accommodate at least 500 candidates at once, will be listed as exam centres.
To carry out this activity, the police commissioners have further been asked to form venue identification teams, which will be headed by officers of the rank of ADSP/AC to identify venues as per guidelines. PC Coimbatore, Thiruppur, Salem, Trichy, Madurai, Tirunelveli are further requested to nominate one officer in commissionerates to assist concerned SPs in the districts to identify exam centres.
List of proposed venues have been asked to be shared by December 12, 2019.
It is particularly useful to note at this point, that a similar notice was reported to have been circulated in May, regarding the TNUSRB Constable recruitment. That notice had said that TN Constable exam will be held on July 14. However ultimately the exam was held on August 25, 2019.
As far as this notice in question is concerned, it could be true, or false; can only be determined when officials publish some update on the exam. However until then, candidates may use the exam date announcement as a reference point to speed up their preparations.
If the TNUSRB SI exam date 2019 notification is true, then only one month is left for the exam. The hall ticket for the exam will most probably be released in the last week of December 2019 or first week of January 2020.
Final decision on when to hold the TNUSRB SI 2019-2020 exam will be decided by the police force recruitment authorities. Candidates should only consider the exam date they see in their admit card aka hall ticket to be final.
TNUSRB SI recruitment 2019 is for a total of 969 vacancies. These include 660 vacancies of SI TK in Tamil Nadu Police Subordinate Service, 276 for SI AR in the same service, and 33 vacancies of SI TSP in the Tamil Nadu Special Police Subordinate Service. Its notification was released on March 8, 2019. Ever since then, candidates who had applied had been waiting for the exam date and hall ticket, and this wait, seems to be finally coming to an end!
