The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is going to release the result for Combined Civil Services Examination – 4 (Group-IV). The authorities have not yet announced any date for declaration of the TNPSC Group 4 Result.
On the basis of last year’s analysis, it can be expected that the result shall be announced by the last week of June 2018. The candidates can check their result at tnpsc.gov.in.
The Answer Key for TNPSC Group 4 has been released on February 14, 2018. It is published in pdf format and the correct answer is ticked on it. Till the time authorities are going to release the result, the candidates can download the answer key and check their probable score.
The candidates need to obtain minimum marks in order to qualify the entrance exam. The cut off to qualify the written exam will be decided by TNPSC. It is expected that the cut off for the post of Junior Assistant for General Category will be around 184, 182 for BC, 181 for MBC, 172 for BC (M), 178 for SC, 176 for SC (A), 175 for ST.
Whereas, for the post of Typist, the expected cut off for General Category is around 171, 167 for BC, 166 for MBC, 153 for BC (M), 157 for SC, 153 for SC (A), 155 for ST.
The TNPSC Group 4 Result 2018 will be announced to fill up a total of 9351 vacancies. The candidates are recruited for the posts such as Village Administrative Officer which has 494 vacancies in Village Administrative Officer, 4096 in Junior Assistant (Non-Security), 205 in Junior Assistant (Security), 48 Bill Collector, Grade-I, 74 in Field Surveyor, 156 vacancies in Draftsman, for Typist posts there are 3463 vacancies, 815 vacancies in Steno-Typist (Grade–III). Recruitment to the following posts included in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Survey and Land Records Subordinate Service and Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service.
The scale of pay for posts Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant (Non – Security). Junior Assistant (Security), Bill Collector, Grade-I, Field Surveyor, Draftsman, and Typist is Rs.5,200 – 20,200/- + 2,400-G.P (PB-1)(PM) (Pre-revised), while for the post Steno-Typist (Grade–III) the pay scale is Rs.5,200– 20,200/- + 2,800-G.P (PB-1) (PM) (Pre-revised).
On the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in the written examination, the TNPSC will publish a list of eligible candidates for certificate verification. After the verification process is over, the eligible candidates will be summoned for counseling to allot the post and Unit / Department in the order of rank and category to which they are eligible as per the vacancy position.
For recruitment to the post of Field Surveyor, meeting the eligibility conditions and qualifying the test is necessary, however, preference shall be given to the candidates who are trained in the survey in Industrial Training Institutes.
Whereas for recruitment to the post of Typist and Steno-Typist (Grade – III), the candidates should have passed the “Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation” awarded by the Technical Education Department. If one doesn’t possess it, must acquire such qualification within the period of their probation.
The candidates appointed to the post shall have to pay a Cash Security of Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1000/- for Backward Class, Backward Class (Muslim), MBC/DC) within a period of one month from the date on which the candidate joins duty. Those from SC/SC (Arunthathiyar) and ST category do not need to pay any cash security.
Also, every person appointed for the respective post will be residing in the Village under his/her charge and shall continue to reside in the said Village as long as he / she is in-charge of that Village.
