The Tamil Nadu HSC result is scheduled to be announced today i.e. July 19, 2021, at around 11 AM on the official website i.e. tnresults.nic.in. This year the TN +2 exams have not been held citing the pandemic. As a result, the board formulated an alternate assessment criteria i.e. 50:30:20. Around 8.5 lakh candidates awaiting the result can use any of the four official websites i.e. tnresults.nic.in, dge1.tn.nic.in, dge2.tn.nic.in & dge.tn.gov.in apart from the main website.
How to calculate marks for TN 12th public exams 2021
The candidates can calculate their marks on the basis of the criteria adopted by the board.
According to this, the 50% weightage of the total marks will be allotted to the highest average marks scored in three subjects of the Class 10th Standard.
The remaining 30% of the total weightage will be given to the marks scored by the candidates in the class 11th exam. Similarly, the remaining 20% weightage of the total marks will be assigned to the marks of the candidates scored in the internal exams and practical tests in class 12th.

The board has mentioned a total of four websites for checking the TN HSC result and marks. However, the Class 10+2 result can also be checked on the official mobile app of the Tamil Nadu Board. For that, the candidates need to simply install the app on their smartphones. Thereafter, the candidates have to mention their Class 12th Registration Number along with their date of birth and click on submit button.
Along with these two methods, the candidates can also check their HSC results through SMS. The candidates have to draft an SMS with TNBOARD12REGNO and Date of Birth and the same to any of the two numbers i.e. 09282232585 or +919282232585.
The candidates who are not satisfied with their results can opt to appear for the compartmental exam conducted by the board. The passing mark for the Class 12th exams is 35 and the candidates have to score this number to successfully pass. As per the data available for the last year, 7,79,931 students participated in the Class 12th examination. However, merely 7,20,209 students managed to pass the examination. The final pass percentage of Tamil Nadu SSC Class 12th result was 92.34%.
